eh, doubt that, but i will say that i'd feel more confident of your normal run-of-the-mill frat boy having a better grasp on how to socially interact with strangers and conduct himself in a social setting to that of your average vanderbilt student. just think back to high school, if you will. who was less awkward in a social setting? the nerdy kid who got into harvard or the average student who went to a school like ole miss, alabama, lsu, etc?
It obviously depends on the setting, but life isn't like high school.

no, life isn't like high school. vanderbilt students are largely more successful in their careers than others; however, that's not exactly how the OP was framed. it was about how socially adjusted people are from said schools. most people develop the majority of social skills when they're younger (high school age), not when they're in college. naturally, yes, some do acquire better social skills later on, but that can be said across the board, regardless of intellect. most of the "smart" kids i went to law school with were not exactly what you'd call the life of the party. they were also generally worse when asked to give oral arguments in trial advocacy. they were very intelligent and made better grades on average, but when it came to actually presenting themselves to an audience, they were generally awful. i used high school for the original poster because it seems pretty clear he's still in undergrad and has little of which to base his opinions.

Rank SEC fanbases by ability to handle themselves in social situations
This is merely ranking an alum's general ability to handle themselves in the business world and in social circles. Abilities are but not limited to holding a casual conversation with strangers, not speaking out of place, wearing proper attire, giving a firm handshake, etc.
1. Vandy (taught from an early age how to handle themselves in social circles, most likely bc they come from wealth)
2. Ole Miss (no other school teaches these basic social fundamentals quite like UofM)
3. Alabama (Generally every person I met that actually attend UofA just seems to get 'it')
4. UGA (Would be higher but half the students are WSP fans with a drug problem)
5. Kentucky (grads are typically classy, place high importance on bourbon and horse racing)
6. Tennessee (most grads are from Nashville or Memphis and understand how to play the game, so to speak)
7. Auburn
8. Sakerlina
9. Arkansas
10. Missouri (gel in your hair and vertical striped button down shirts do not get you far in the business world)
11. Texas A&M (generally awkward group of people)
12. Mississippi State (You can take the bro out of Caledonia or West Point but you can't take the Caledonia or West Point out of the bro)
13. LSU (alums are the first to be over served at a party or wedding function)
14. Florida (like a fish out of water, that Salt Life t-shirt at a YP function aint gonna cut it, bro)
And #s 1, 10, 11, 13, and 14 are all included in the list of U.S. universities in producing millionaires.

The frick is this

LSU should be in the top 5. Texas A&M should be dead last

Its bad when you have to think about having a firm handshake and just don't naturally have one.

Do you have any tips for hailing a cab in Cincinnati? I would like to avoid an international incident if I ever visit.

While I agree that there nerdy people tend to stay nerdy, I disagree that they necessarily struggle in social situations. That's a matter of insecurity or immaturity more than anything. I know a lot of big time nerds who kill it in social situations because they embrace that side.
I also don't agree that Vandy students are that way generally. All the people I know that went there were pretty well-balanced individuals. That's the nature of that admissions process. They aren't just looking for the highest SAT scores. Most of the really nerdy bookworm kids from my HS ended up at state schools.

This is the worst thread in a while but how in the hell does the amount of Fortune 500 CEOs affect the fanbase as a whole? That makes zero sense

This guy gets it. LOL at Auburn fans pissued that other fanbases recognize the vast difference between Alabama grads and their sidewalk fans. Good point about the hyper competitive social atmospheres at places like Ole Miss and Alabama being very helpful in developing social skills in the business world. That competitive atmosphere isn't for everyone. I had quite a few friends that grew up die hard Bama fans but went to Auburn due to being intimidated by Alabama's competitive social atmosphere.
