I assume we are weighting Head Coaches more than assistants. Grades 1-5 (5 highest) with Head Coach being weighted double.

1. Alabama (20)
2. Arkansas (17)
3. LSU (16)
4a. Florida (14)
4b. Georgia (14)
4c. Ole Miss (14)
4d. Tennessee (14)
4e. Texas A&M (14)
9a. Auburn (12)
9b. Mississippi State (12)
11a. South Carolina (11)
11b. Vanderbilt (11)
13a. Kentucky (9)
13b. Missouri (9)

Highest Head Coaches
1. Saban (10)
2a. Bilema (8)
2b. Miles (8)
4-8. McElwain, Smart, Freeze, Malzahn, Mullen (7)

Highest 4 DC
1a. Alabama - Pruitt (5)
1b. LSU - Aranda(5)
1c. Tennessee - Schoop(5)
1d. Vanderbilt - Mason (5)

Highest 3 OC
1a. Alabama - Kiffin (5)
1b. Arkansas - Enos (5)
3a. Texas A&M - Mazonne (4)

I guess it is up to the person but it would make sense to do that because some coordinators really just hold a title.

8. Auburn
9. Georgia

14. Vandy

Some of these were hard to rank since they haven't actually coached at their respective positions yet.

I would probably rank Alabama all the way at the top and LSU all the way at the bottom.
LSU is an absolute conundrum. I don't understand how they can gather top tier talent, yet squander it every single year. It starts with the head coach, and Les Miles is past his prime (if he ever had one).
Just above LSU would be Auburn.

I think Bielema has assembled a very solid coaching staff at Arkansas. Probably second only to Nick Satan. I think Butch Jones has done very well. A few of the others are completely untested or either flat out failed at the position of head coach (Smart and Muschamp). Vanderbilt is Vanderbilt. Hugh Freeze honestly deserves to be in the top 4 or 5 in the conference. Dan Mullen's team is going to drop off dramatically this year. I think Missouri made a smart move hiring Barry Odom. Time will tell, but I really think that guy is an outstanding coach.

The problem is that it is too early to tell about several of these guys in their current jobs.

1. Alabama
2. Arkansas
3. Ole Miss
4. Tennessee
5. Texas A&M (although once a few of these other guys get a couple of years under their belt Sumlin will fall almost to the bottom of the SEC rankings. He is just terrible from a CEO/program manager standpoint)
6. Mississippi State
7. Missouri
8. Florida (still too early to tell whether McElwain is good or Muschamp is horrifically bad and was able to stockpile talent, but fail to utilize it.)
9. Kentucky
10. South Carolina
11. Vanderbilt
12. Georgia (I think this may have been one of the worst coaching hires in the history of college athletics)
13. Auburn
14. LSU

I see you're upset that I ranked LSU at the bottom?
Well I had good reason. Just a few months ago 90% of your ridiculous fanbase, and even your dumbshit Athletic Director were INSISTING that they were going to FIRE Les Miles.
You shouldn't be surprised that people think your coaching staff sucks. Hell, your own fanbase thinks the same thing.

Well that's because they were until the University President stepped in. Why do you seem to be so mad about it?

If you are reading anger in my words, it is merely a reflection of your own feelings about my words.
I think LSU is pretty hilarious too. They suck, and they have basically become a rent-a-win for the hogs over the last couple of years.

I just quoted the whole thing because I'm terrified it would disappear and I'd never be able to love this post again.

You do you, R-Kansas.

You don't think 17-0 is a rent a win?
At least last year you guys scored.

So because you beat us two years in a row that means LSU is now a Rent-A-Win for Arky? Makes sense.

So where is the money? You know we poor. Cant be a rent-a-win unless you are shelling out some money.

Arky's staff is being given too much credit. They improved a lot across the season but the early season losses haunted them. It's not like the front nine counts less than the back nine. At the end of the year they were 8-5. We (try to) fire coaches for less than that.
