I have a few questions for SC fans and be honest.
First Question: How do you honestly feel about this hire?
Second Question: On a scale of 1-10 how mad are you at me? 10 being really mad and 1 being not very mad.

1. Very underwhelming hire given how long we had. Tanner got played and didn't have a solid back up plan IMO. It could work out, but there are way too many "ifs" for me to feel comfortable about this
2. 3? It's annoying seeing you in every thread but you say the same stuff and echo everyone else. You're just another voice in the crowd really.

Not an SC fan, but I don't think this hire is the sure-fire disaster that some are making it out to be.
Muschamp is a young guy, there's no doubt that he can improve as a head football coach.

Will has his back against the wall. This is the last real chance he will get in a HC position, and he will try to make the best of it. I really don't think things will be nearly as horrible as many act.

I'm not really worried about Muschamp being horrible. If he's horrible, well fire him in a few years.

#1 - I do not think it is a bad hire. Taking Herman and Kirby out of it, He is probably the best hire for the quickest change and the best hire for the change we need.
His problems at Florida are pretty obvious.
I laugh at the posters on the board that compare his work at Florida to Dooley at Tenn. Florida was 10-2 and played in SECCG the next year. Tenn just sniffed 8 wins 3 years later.
As far as his temper, now it may happen more often, but it is no different than Saban going after the block in the back kid or Dabo going after the punter. I guess people just have an attraction to his eyes or something.
We will know pretty quick if he is a screw up or not.
#2 "Mad" is not the right word, that would be about a 1 or 2. Now if you used "annoying", that would be about an 8, with Clemson being a 10. Makes me think there must be a lot of inbreeding in that part of Missouri

I was very much against it when it was just speculation, but now that it's happened, I have no choice but to get on board and hope for the best.

In all seriousness, do you feel that Muschamp is going to be able to recruit to Columbia as well as he did in Gainesville (solely thinking about D here, since doesn't seem like he recruited the other side of the ball well there at all). I really don't know. Gainesville always seems to have had a knack for recruiting itself, with the relatively large # of instate talent and south GA talent that is close by. That would be my biggest concern were I a Carolina fan. Spurrier had the "been there done that" mystique that recruits seemed to like up until the last couple of seasons. Not sure how well "maniacal lunatic" resonates with parents and kids trying to find a home for their kid for the next 3-5 years.

I don't think the guy is that bad of a coach. I just think that there was a lot more going on behind the scenes than what folks know about.
