State never impressed me this year

Based on how far we have come since yall beat us 45-0 in the end of the Croom mistake, we have improved by leaps and bounds. We had over 500 total yds of offense against yall this year in the egg bowl 270 passing and 230 rushing. Croom's west coast offnse had like 50 yds total offense the last time we were in Oxford.

You may not notice the improvement in our football program, but the rest of America does.

States OL and LB's are as good as any in the nation. I loved watching them work.

I agree. We've been nothing flashy. Hard nosed D, tough to run on, struggle some giving up the big play. Smash mouth running game, with a pass every blue moon to keep you honest, with the exception FLA. They knew it was coming and still couldn't stop it.

It's simple and brilliant. You have some great talent on that defense, but not as deep as the UFs and Alabamas of the world. So you run a lot, shorten the game, and keep the defense fresh. It's smart.

I'm pretty happy with 8-4 this season, considering we were 4-8 in 2008 and 5-7 in 2009. The trend is improving and that's what matters.

I think we're going to look back in a few years and realize MSU had 5-7 NFL players on the 2010 defense.

You're fricking stupid. In that post, I was saying they are doing something right. Obviously implying improvement in your program. They weren't impressive this year, but you won games. You're just looking for a fight from a Rebel.

You may be right. Watching your defense play compared to ours gave me a chubby more than once.

Nope, no need for that we have proved ourselves two years in a row on the field where it counts.

Ole Miss will not get any better unless Nutt cuts ties with some of his assistants, and understands he needs to recruit the state of Mississippi better.

Butthurt got old like 10 months ago. You're probably just hearing about it in Starkville though.

Not in Starkville, I live in Hattiesburg.

Just messing with ya brah. I hope Nutt rights the ship, but I DO think he has to make MAJOR changes on defense and weed out some of the bad apples on the team.

I was too...read my other posts.

He's not the guy to the get the program to the next level. We'll have good years, but we're going to have years like this with Nutt. He's the same guy he was at Arkansas. I want Mullen out of State ASAP though, he's a good coach. It's the best compliment I could give him.

Mullen is as good of a HC as I could EVER expect us to get at State. Word is that he told our QB Commit from Louisiana (who LSU and TCU) offered. He isnt going to Miami and plans at being at Mississippi State.

He'll wait for a better opportunity. A big job is eventually going to come open...that's when he bounces. Miami isn't that program.

Miami needs a coach who is going to run a pro style offense IMO. I dont see the U going with the spread.

I expect if Mullen has another 8 win season next year that Georgia, LSU, or Florida (when Urban retires) may come calling.
