The students/fans that dress up like Raiders fans... That wear war paint and look like they belong in a Mad Max movie...

Is that a tradition of some sort? a student organization? Like Silver Spurs at Texas?

Been paying attention to UGA football for about 15 years and they always have a presence on TV. At first I just thought they were apart of your respective 85%. But now I see students doing it.

When did it start? And what is their popularity on campus?

They're called the Spike Squad and, yeah, they're one of a few groups that dresses up and does that. They're super defensive of that front row, too. Not sure how long it has been going on, though.

How awesome was it seeing those clowns in the middle of a hurricane watching their team get embarrassed at home. The crowd shots were priceless.

They're douchey students who feel like just because they dress up at 5 am on game day and stand on the front row in war paint with pads on that they're better than the normal students who tailgate their asses off and then rage dick for the dawgs

It would be hilarious to see a bunch of people get there early and take the front row from them.

Hey man. I don't come over to your house, kick you in the balls in front of your family, and then take pictures of their reactions. That's just not nice.

I know people who have beaten them to the front row and were physically removed and berated by said squadron of spikage. There's a sort of unspoken rule that you just don't mess with the front row. It's serious bidness

I'd pay to watch drunk frat bros get there first. Or to get someone to have security go with them to sit in the front. People who dress like that for a sporting events are such ridiculous fools.

Damn

When/why did it start? Is it purely a ripoff of raider fans?

Don't mean to offend because I like UGA in general. But they seems like something an east Carolina type school would do and popularize.
