Is this a pattern, only one bounced check so far but we will take care of that in StarkVegas this year...

state fans actually think this is ok?

frick yes, we think it is ok. Have you looked at our football history? I'm realistic when it comes to MSU football, and a coach who takes us to three straight bowl games is statue in front of the stadium material.

yes...to act like Mullen, Saban, and Miles begin at the same starting point every year is retarded.

It's a damn 100 yard dash with Saban starting at the 50, Miles at the 40, and Mullen from the back of the end zone

You figure Mullen would have made up some ground in the last 4 years.

I think he has...we are now a program that expects to go to a bowl every season. That wasnt the case before he got the job

I happen to belong to the "new school" of thought that says our current situation isn't good enough. I expect much more. The Miss. State fan base is torn between people who are ecstatic about us going to weak bowl games, they remember the days of old where we were lucky to win a game at all, and there's the new school as I call them.

Bundy you are an effing idiot for making this thread, you of all people know exactly what these people think of our coaches.

Can everyone agree that John Cohen is GREAT for SEC baseball overall?

He's probably been the single greatest point of interest on the Rant for the season thusfar. He makes practically every fanbase "care more" about their series against MSU -- and has sparked/resparked intense baseball rivalries that had become pretty meh for the most part over the years.

Why would we hate Mullen?

He loses to LSU every year like clockwork.

probably not- but I wouldnt say no way in hell. We'll be better on both sides of the ball this Fall. But the schedule is ridiculous and most likely has us at 7-5

new school

I understand the new school line of thought, but it will only burn you in the long run. Fact is that neither MSU or Ole Miss have the resources to compete in SEC football on a consistent basis. There will be outlier years (1998, 2003) where the stars align for one of us to make a run at it, but there is zero chance of being able to do it on a consistent basis. Hell, I'd argue that Auburn is now almost in our situation due to the machine that Bama has created, and that is even with Alabama having twice the population of Mississippi.

I think 7-5 would be awesome. I think we will have a better team than we had last year, and we will be more competitive against the better competition. Unfortunately, that won't be reflected in our record due to the tougher schedule.

I believe that you've only had one coach in your history that was better in his first 4 -- and he had a nicely stacked deck when he arrived. That was Cutcliffe. I went back past Vaught and Cut was the only coach you'd had that was better in his first 4 than Mullen has been in his first 4 at MSU...

Let's merge the schools and money, etc, etc ,etc. As a middle of the road, common purpose, type of person I'd be all for it. Should have been one school all along, it just doesn't make any sense to have three major universities in a state of this size, whereas neighboring states have only one main school through which all citizens of that state are unified. I'm excluding AL of course, they were enough for two of course.

Let it be known that I know this will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever everrrrrrrrr happen
