The fact is, NO game played from 05-14 has any bearing on where the programs are at right now and their direction in the future. I have no problem admitting that overall during that time period, UF was better than UT, and I don't think I'd get any arguments there.
But right now, Florida is a bad football team. They are closer to Vandy and FAU levels then, FSU, Bama or Michigan levels, and the games proved it. With the exception of the UGA game, UF played extremely poorly without a QB that was using steroids. They lose a lot of seniors and juniors from this year, not only on defense (their strong unit) but also at RB and WR as well. Combine that with QB uncertainty and UF doesn't look very good next year.
Tennessee meanwhile ended the year with a 7-1 record in their last 8 games, including two wins against top 25, 10-win teams, one of which was by 39. UT had little difficulty rolling over inferior opponents, something UF struggled to do, and our lone loss was by 5 points against probably the best team in the nation, a team who lead UF by 22 before a garbage time TD. Also, the Vols return all of their most vital pieces on offense, and most on defense (still waiting on decisions from Sutton and JRM.) With one more recruiting class, we should finally have all the depth and experience needed to compete for titles.
So forgive me if I fail to recognize this streak as proof that UF is better than UT right now, because all the other evidence seems to indicate otherwise.

Don't need Validation because even under Muschamp we still did better than Tennessee. I was just curious on the thought processes of vo11 fans.

Why would Florida fans be jealous of a team it dominates year in and year out? Sure we sucked in our bowl game, but it happens. Only thing that matters to me is making ATL and that is something UT hasn't done since 2001.

Total Defense 14th (4 SEC teams ranked higher, as is Northwestern and 3 other B1G teams, Vawls 36th with Jancek)
Red Zone Defense 119th (this is abysmal, down right embarrassing, Vawls were 17th with Jancek)
Scoring Defense 26th (6 B1G teams were better, Vawls were 16th with Jancek)
How is this move making UT any better? Looks to me like the defense just got worse.
ETA: the more I look at these stats the more it makes sense. Butch Jones made this move, so naturally it can't result in progress. He just assured every red zone possession for the other team is a TD and that his offense will have to score even more points next year just to have the same success. Fire this clown now Vawls. It's your only hope.

Maybe consider which school had sanctions very recently. Also take a look back at Vandy's defense for more data if you choose.

NCAA lifted Penn St sanctions early. Oh and Penn St was a bowl team last year.
