Question for state fans

Since your strategy pertaining to OM/Freeze appears to be "if you can't beat them, turn them in", what will be the next step when these allegations are nothing more than a wrist-slap, and not the program-crippling punishment that will allow Mullen to not get left behind?
Is there a backup plan, or are y'all putting all of your eggs into hoping OM gets hammered?

Stingray is going to go Mark David Chapman on Freeze.

I'm in the minority, but Im sick and tired of all of the BS from both sides. I'm sick of State fans' sour grapes and Im sick of Ole Miss fans thinking the world revolves around recruiting.
There have been numerous reports and posts over the years about the decline of the college football fan. At one point, I went 14 years without missing an MSU home game. I've been to three in the last five years, and one of those seasons we were ranked No. 1 in the country.
If athletic departments want to do focus groups on why fans are abandoning - the first thing most people will say is that the TV product is better than it was in the past. No. 2 on my list is all this bullshite.
If you don't think everyone cheats, you are crazy. Ive talked to former Division II and III players that say there is corrupt cheating at their level. Do coaching staffs know every $100 handshake that goes on? No, but they aren't filing reports when they find out.

We're going to discuss it at our weekly meeting.

If OM is throwing bucket of cash at recruits, why did Simmons choose State, Kongbo UT, and Carter Bama, Juarez to UCLA? Did they all choose to not take the money? Or did they take the higher bid?
Or maybe OM is playing the exact same game as everyone else in the SEC, but people don't want to believe it because OM has never recruited this well since Freeze has been in Oxford.

Every team has skeletons in the closet. If I were a state fan, I'd be nervous that super sleuth Steve Robertson doesn't inadvertently implicate state in some things.
As someone said on anther board, there's a reason Bama and Auburn are (for the most part) civil on the recruiting trails

quote:Exactly who is using this strategy? Are you talking about people on this board, our school or that yahoo that works for Scout or whoever?

that yahoo that works for Scout
Which is interesting because Yahoo owns Rivals and Fox owns Scout. It's a conspiracy.

fanbases are represented by a few posters. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I see two options available, and we may push for both. This will be finalized in the previously mentioned meeting:
A. we pay the tab to ensure Memphis is on the Ole Miss Schedule every year
and/or
B. Lobby the Governor and state legislature to force Ole Miss to play USM every year.

Do you honestly think that the NCAA gives a damn what MSU says about Ole Miss cheating? However, they may have taken notice when other schools began to complain.
