Roughly what percentage of your entering Freshman classes each year are comprised of Texas & Georgia kids who could not get into highly competitive in-state schools A&M, UT, UGA?

I'm living in Dallas now and this topic came up with a few co-workers.

A lot. I went to the business school and it seemed like every other person was either from Texas or Georgia.

There are some Ivy League schools that are easier to get into for out-of-state students than UT-Austin.

Your right, UT isn't that terribly hard for in-staters.

UT is definitely a two-sided coin when it comes to admissions though.

Sorry, my bad. I thought we were talking SEC UT. Also, the state of Texas sucks. That is all.

Good God, man. Ivy Leagues make no distinction on in-state or out of state.

I am pretty sure the actual number is publicly available.. try binging it

edit: googling sounds better then binging, doesn't it?

This. Ivy League schools are private and DGAF if someone is in state or out of state.

Back in 2011 or 2012 there was a story the DM did that said close to half our students were from out of state.

Maybe a little less. Ole Miss is a great option for those who aren't brilliant or mega-rich who want an absolute bargain of a college education and experience.
