The part people mainly care about is the frick KU at the end.

I gotta admit that still doesn't really explain why "Mr Brightside" in particular. The "frick KU" part is not even part of the song or substituted in for any words in the chorus, it just appears to be something the fans started chanting after it was over, so couldn't you guys do that after just about any song?

I also don't really get chanting frick KU when you're playing a different team. Like if LSU is playing Bama it would be weird for the fans to start doing the "Geaux to Hell Ole Miss" chant.

Mizzou needs something to sing at their games too.

Sounds like you go to shitty weddings.

I actually meant it as a compliment but yeah I can see how it would be misinterpreted.

was at a wedding in St. Louis just over a week ago and the DJ played Mr. Brightside.

Over half the crowd chanted fku during the musical interlude. It warmed my heart a small bit.

Well, I was at a wedding on Saturday in Chicago at which my son (True Son of a True Son) was the best man. It killed us to miss attending the LSU game, but whadda gonna do when you are very close friends with the groom's family and the bride chooses the wedding date?

The salve...my son got the DJ to play Mr. Brightside and there were enough MU people or people who follow MU to do a rousing chant of FKU at the appropriate time.

Quizzical looks from many. Especially the bride's family who were mostly from Colorado and Arizona.

yeah, but in all seriousness lsu wouldnt come close to understanding this because they dont have any rivals remotely on the level of a kansas-missouri.

Go have a war with your neighbor where many hundreds of innocent people die and you'll learn why it is different. It is more about the state than the schools.
