Both of you seems to care a great deal about baseball, both schools invest into each program at a very competitive rate.

Would either of you be completely satisfied with missing the SECT and lash out at those who questioned the leadership towards such a colossal failure?

For whatever reason USC never plays well in Hoover. I'm all for skipping it however how can you possibly question Ray Tanner with his overall success with his total collapse in the SECT?

I wish we could treat the sec tourney like nfl playoff teams treat the pro bowl.

I'm assuming the context here is you want DVH gone and others disagree.

Missing the SECT the way Arkansas did would be met with extreme criticism from Gamecock fans, so I am certain LSU fans would feel the same way.

Fans wanted Holbrook fired for missing the NCAAt last year.

not even remotely so. what kind of question is this anyway? fans of both schools want excellence. missing the SECT means your team was in 13th or 14th place in the conference. I can assure you the LSU coach would be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail. no one would lash out at the mob; they would be joining in.

I'm not a Dale hater so I think this can be taken as a fair observation, he loves Mike Anderson and Mike got lots of criticism (rightfully so most of it at least) during the season and he's doing the old reverse and throwing it back in others faces.

Do you know what a hypothetical situation is?

OP criticized DVH and other Arkansas posters must have lashed back in defense of him. He wasn't talking shite to either LSU or SC.

Should Arkansas ever miss the sect?

Given the resources made available.

Our fans hate Pawl when we go 54-12 but go 1-2 in Omaha, much less 7-23 in conference.

Yes, we'd fricking riot and at least half the fan base would be irate. You have every right to be with the facilities Arkansas has.

LSU baseball should make the SEC tournament every year, should host a regional practically every year, should host a Super most years, should make the CWS regularly, and win the CWS occasionally.

I can't speak for Arky, but for LSU and PM, not making the SEC tourney would be considered a colossal failure that should and would result in termination if things didn't drastically improve the following year. The only reason PM would be given a chance to right the ship after missing the SEC tourney would be because of his successful resume, but if it wasn't followed with a great season he would be gone.

1 mediocre/bad season is forgivable IMO, but 2 consecutive would be punishable by death.

That's really not a smart question since every program will have ups and downs. The last time Miss State won the tourney was 2012 and last year didn't even make the tourney. Then this year won the conference. If you lose a lot of studs followed by injuries the next season, you can find a down year anytime. That's just baseball for you.

Arkansas is on a higher level of commitment and resources than Ms. State and should expect more return on their investment, hence why Ms. State wasn't mentioned in the op.
