Nope - 19 years is long enough to wish him well

Go Thunder, don't watch the NBA but pulling for Donovan

Oh well, 2nd best Men's basketball program in the SEC will have to do. By the way, we have 2 NCs in the last decade in Men's BBall. Mike White will be a great Gator coach, soon!

Whites recruiting can be a little misleading also. I live close to LA Tech so I followed their program fairly close. Dude is all about his style and system. He is gonna recruit tall long guards and wings. Even if he has to pass up on higher rated guys for less known prospects that he thinks are a fit. I wouldn't expect him to be recruiting big body post, or smaller point guard types. A lot of 6-4 to 6-9 lineups without a ton of bulk but fast and athletic.

It was one of the saddest days sports wise in my life when he left. I grew up with Billy on the sideline and met him in person many times. He is an amazing guy so hate him? No chance. He is always welcome back in Gainesville.

What he is doing is showing just how damn good of a coach he is. Im cheering for the Thunder because of Billy.

Oh he is without a doubt one of the best in the game but he did inherit one of the best situations in the league.

For sure but some of his coaching these playoffs has been really good.

Good observation, If Allen is an indication of this, I'm 100% behind him.

Great post, that's what I've noticed so far as well. His recruits have all been long athletes more than polished offensive players with the exception of Shai Alexander (2017 PG) who is 6'4 with a 6'9 wingspan but a very good offensive skillset to go with it. Really looking forward to watching White build the roster with his kind of guys

I was never mad he took a damn good job and he's making the most of it in his first year

Now spurrier leaving that was an absolute kick in the nuts and came out of nowhere

I think any Gator fans were mad he left. He went to top notch NBA team with 2 super stars. I also think the move could be good for UF , Billy D. Needed a change IMO . He didn't seem to get the talent lately that he was getting year ago.

I don't watch the NBA , but good for him for doing good. He is a good coach.

We made it to that final four on experience . We need to start recruiting better.

Our basketball program as we know it exists because of him. Worst-case scenario it disappears into nothing now that he's gone. We'd still have the memories.

If anything, watching what he's doing in the playoffs right now makes me even more appreciative that we were lucky enough to call him our coach for so long.

Yeah your gonna see A lot of those types of bodies. He wants to be fast and chaotic. Very guard oriented. On his best tech teams the only post who was a real impact player weighed about 200 pounds soaking wet. It can get his teams in trouble
If a bigger stronger team can slow the game down but his plan is to make them play at his pace.

Not mad. He was great for the BBall program.

Happy for him and how success has followed him to NBA as well.
