I don't think we'll take one. Next year were in the mix for an awesome one. In fact, some say he's a lock but I can't think of his name off hand.

It doesn't look like it at this point. I'm not sure why, because we could be down to two scholarship QBs next year.

Jameis Winston... Will be a high 4 star, maybe 5 star next year.

The Hueytown quarterback is one of the nation's most-sought-after quarterbacks in the Class of 2012.

Here's a tip to those schools who haven't joined Oklahoma, Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Ole Miss and any other school that has shown an interest - if you aren't going to let Winston play baseball in college, keep moving.

He's got offers from Florida and another one or two since this article also.

Review of him from the Nike Camp back in May:

The top underclassman in the group was easily Jameis Winston (Hueytown, Ala./Hueytown). Winston, just a sophomore, is already holding scholarship offers from schools like Alabama, Auburn and Miami and will be among the nation's top prospects, regardless of position, in two years.

Why not go to a school where you can not only play both, but win a Championship in both?

That's why he's a Bama lock.

You said could win in both. Not live in the past with both.

Joe Namath has a home-schooled bastard son who will be joining the team on a Bryant scholarship.

Bama hasn't proven it could win both yet though

And technically your 2009 title became the past 1 second after you won it.... So you should quit living in the past as well

LSU has several times... and we have players that played FB and Baseball at the same time.

It is difficult to acquire a high rated quarterback when you have two back ups for Greg M. that are in competition for the starting job next year. Plus everyone knows that Bama will probably have a situation over scholarships to go around next time this year. I think next year will be a better situation for some in-state talent like LSU has this year. Next years singing class for the SEC should be a great one.

It should be a banner year again for Bama. There'll be tons of talent instate next year and all the big time signees from 2008 will probably be leaving early. There'll be alot of spots open next season.

It's hard to question the best recruiter in college football but not recruiting a big time QB might come back to haunt him. We only have three. Maybe injuries won't come rearing it's head at QB...

The problem we have at QB is the one's we've recruited have been too good.
