Serious question. LSU was able to hold state for less than 2 yards per carry.

That Barber guy you guys have is a beast, but I have my doubts he will be very effective .

My question is, do you think Johnson steps up to the plate? All joking aside, he had to get the hype from somewhere right?

Does he throw for over 100 in Tiger Stadium? Or will Gus try trick plays and the run game? Anymore games like that and Gus will never turn him loose.

No. But hopefully plays are called for fewer mistakes.

Since we are being serious. Best answer I have to offer is cigars will be passed out to Auburn players to celebrate their victory.

A lot of geaux tiger fans will be sad.

He picked a receiver before the play. Which is a huge discipline issue.

I think it will be a good, close game.

I think they are trying to do too much with Johnson atm. He is what he is. He needs to learn to run at what his size is and stop being so tentative with running while being more tentative on throwing under pressure.

I still think Auburn wins, but that is heavily predicated on Les still not trusting Harris and the defensive players being back for the game.

I am very pleasantly surprised with Barber, but even with that, we have to have Johnson run effectively.

In many ways, the whupping LSU gave us in 2013 helped the offense develop an identity. I hope we develop one that is successful in this game.

LSU won't hold AU for less than 2 YPC

Barber goin in dry

Johnson goin in dry way over 100 yards passing

Gus will use all the plays he needs to knock the Corn Dog taste out of ya'lls Coon Arse mouths

It will be close at first. Then the game will start and the play calling and execution will continue to resemble a monkey fricking a football

Oh to win again someday in tigger stadeeum

I think it was lugenbill on the PF show who commented on all the issues he saw with AU while watching the lville game. He also said he was very impressed with LSU this past weekend and was highly complimentary of their OL play. I see this being a long night for the Tigers.

Everyone is on Johnson's case, but if you look at his performance it wasn't the problem. He threw 3 incomplete passes the second half and one of those was an Int. The problem is Gus has not adjusted his play calling to what the Defense gives them. Defenses are playing two deep Safeties to prevent the Deep Ball, they are dropping LBs back to flood the intermediate routes (4 of 5 Ints are by LBs). JJ is having to force the ball, because he has few options. Gus finally called a screen pass and it resulted in a TD setup.

We haven't ran trick plays is 2 seasons. Our extent of trick plays is faking a wr sweep and throwing a deep post or rolling the qb to one side then throwing back to the other side to the rb or HB. To answer you question yes JJ will break 100 but it will be on easy completions such as screens and slants. There's also no reason to think PB won't have success because that is our offense. We'll run the same inside zone running plays over and over and PB will grind out a solid performance. You all just have to minimize him busting a 30 yarder or Ricardo busting a big wr sweep. Our offense isn't flashy and explosive like most associate Gus with. Its just the same inside runs and sweeps over and over with the occasional play action bomb that JJ will throw into triple coverage

I can't believe the LSU fanbase has fallen for Gus' and JJ's sandbagging. It will be a thing of beauty come Saturday.

It would be really cool if this thread could be for honest discussion about the upcoming game.

I'm interested to know if most auburn fans see JJ's poor performance as something to be expected going forward. I know their were high expectations for this team. Do yall feel like Auburn shapes up into the quality football team we have come to expect or do you expect this to play out as a rough season? Aside from some questionable QB play where are you most worried about this team? I'm asking seriously because I have yet to be able to watch them play this year.

I think LSU''s issues are pretty obvious with overly conservative/predictable play calling and a thin DL/LB group that can fade quickly as it gets gassed. I'm not nearly as confident as some LSU fans coming into this game. I think there is still a lot we don't know with both teams right now.
