What pissed me off about not running the ball, is we didn't even have to get a first down.
Everyone and their dad were getting carted off the field. That's the #1 sign as a coach that, hey, we need to shorten this game and get the frick outta dodge. We are still 2-0 and let's regroup for Bama.
If you run the ball for just one series all 3 downs, whether you get a first down, or whether you lose 20 fricking yards. We are going to burn at least 3-4 minutes off the clock. Maybe more when you factor in a punt and waiting to down it. You do that on two drives, and we are @ 6-7 minutes off the clock.
What happens if the game is shortened by 6-7 minutes? Arkansas wins 28-21 at the least. Fans may take shite, but we are still 2-0 and ranked around #10.
Also, everyone heals a little quicker when ur 2-0 and a meaningful game coming up.

That's why I started the thread, I thought maybe they had stuffed KD a few times or something so he just quit running, but sounds like that's not what happened at all..

Complete and utter failure by the coaching staff.
You know all of those 2nd half comebacks we've had the last couple years.... Bobby Petrino.
Literally Paul Petrino coached the exact opposite of what Petrino football does and the philosophy he was hired to run and kept to continue. Get a lead, pound the ball to protect the lead and eat clock, sprinkle in some deep nails in the coffin when they cheat the run.
I watched the 2nd half again last night and they did crowd the line but they only rushed 4 and got pressure on the QB constantly. In the first half they did the same things bunch the line and fall back into coverage. Brandon Mitchell was non-existent and should've been put in to run option plays, Brandon Allen has the speed to run as well.
This season can't end fast enough. The bright side is as football descends into meh, the hoops team should be back on an upswing. Moses Kingsley and Bobby Portis are taking their officials this weekend.

The fanbase went through a lot this spring. That's nothing compared to what this current staff is about to put Hog Nation through.

You're a f'ing dumbass. It's not "woe is me" speak to state the obvious FACT that Arkansas doesn't have the recruiting advantages of Alabama or LSU. That, you may have noticed, correlates 100% to the FACT that we haven't had anywhere CLOSE to as good of an defense as those schools.
