Many Alabama fans are pulling for auburn over clemson. Over the title butt hurt and conference pride. That's not a rivalry

They all pull for each other. It's why rivalries in the sec are a complete joke. There's not hate, people put conference pride over their own teams. It's sad really

WRONG!! BAMA fans will pull for Clemson because of Dabo and a few other former TIDE players that are on staff.

Many?

I'd say like 5%, max. And once they turn on the TV and actuslly see Auburn playing that number will drop to 2-3%.

no way.

If they win, I just take it as good for SoS, and if they lose, I laugh.

SOS doesn't matter one bit when you play in the SEC. If you win the conference, and have 1 or fewer losses, you will be in every single time.

I guess you haven't heard the talk about the SEC slipping. I don't know why this concept is so difficult for people to grasp. The SEC hasn't always enjoyed its lofty perch at the top, and if teams keep blowing games against other conferences, the SEC will stop getting the benefit of the doubt come playoff selection time.

I generally passively root for SEC teams in OOC games. I don't REALLY care, but for my friends sake and general perception of the league I like seeing Georgia or Ole Miss or LSU win.

I never want to see Auburn or Tennessee win in anything. Football, cross country, quidditch.

Only time I'll root for them is if they play Penn State.

I'm sure you have some great numbers to back that up

Conference perception mattered a lot more in the BCS. With the playoff you just have to not be the worst P5 conference. The Big XII is a clear step below the other four, and that won't change because Texas and Oklahoma are the only big programs in that conference.

The year Ohio State won the playoff the Big Ten sucked in the regular season (5-11 I think against P5 + Notre Dame), and Ohio State still got in over TCU and Baylor.

Only way I would ever pull for Auburn to win would be if they had to beat another SEC West team in November for Bama to win the division and go to the SEC title game.

I don't like Tennessee, but at this point I pull for them to get back to being a contender in the East. I just feel bad for their fans for the prolonged funk their program has been in.

Uh no. I've seen a few posters on this board say they think AU will win, and every Bama fan I personally know is for Clemson.

We don't give a frick about your program honestly outside of liking Dabo as a former UA player.

I have tried to pull for those 2 OOC, but if they lose in a bowl game or whatever.....I always enjoy it. That is how I felt about AU when they played in the MNC in 2010 & 2013.

As far as pulling for AU over Clemson in week 2......no way in hell. I will be on the fighting Dabo's side. Hell I'd even wear an IPTAY shirt if I had one.

I always pull for the conference.

But that doesn't mean I shed tears if a rival happens to lose.

If a Bama or Auburn fan ever tells you they root for the other to win a game, they will lie to you about other things as well.

I can't think of a single time I've ever pulled for Auburn or Tennessee. I don't really pull for any other SEC team, to be honest.

I don't give a shite about our SOS. Means nothing. We're Alabama, and it doesn't matter what our SOS is if our record is good.

negative. if it will help my team move up the rankings then by all means I want the other SEC team to lose. That said, most of us realize that if our team just takes care of business then it really doesn't matter/harm us if our conference rivals do well out of conference.
