Question for Alabama fans

Do you root against Auburn and Tennessee in non conference games or do you root for them to win to help your SOS
Like when Tennessee lost to Wyoming did you laugh and find it funny or were you mad that it hurt your SOS
Same with the overtime games with Jacksonville State vs Auburn and Applachian State vs Tennessee. Who were you pulling for in those games

Pretty much never have I ever pulled for either of those teams. As long as Bama takes care of business, SOS doesn't really matter.

You never root for Auburn or Tennessee. It's good if they win and even better if they lose.

I wouldn't really say I root for them but I generally prefer that they win ooc games. If they do happen to lose I laugh at them.

It's really a no-lose situation. They win and help the conference, or they lose and are ridiculed. Within the conference I hope they lose every game.

Man I actually try to root for them in OOC games (especially bowl games), but it's one of those deals where if it starts to go south for them I don't really get upset.
I'll pull for Clemson over AU b/c of Dabo, but usually I root for SEC teams - even AU & UT - in OOC games. I figure there will be enough carnage during the conference schedule to give them their 3-5 losses annually.

I want all SEC teams to win their OOC games, but that doesn't mean I'm a fan of theirs. Nobody should want a "family member" to bring shame upon the family.
Whether folks want to admit it or not, the rest of the coun try views the SEC (exception is Alabama) as basically the same, so when one looks bad, it reflects on the others, like it or not.

Agreed. I would never pull for Bama. Ever. It needs to be that way. The whole yin yang thing. There must be balance to the force.

I almost always root for G5 and FCS teams against other SEC schools.
Against other power 5 conferences:
I never root for Auburn or Tennessee.
With LSU, Miss State, and Ole Miss it depends on who they play.
I almost always root for the rest of the SEC.

Gus Bus and Lyle will bring enough shame on their respective teams that we Bama fans don't need to cheer against them.

SOS doesn't matter one bit when you play in the SEC. If you win the conference, and have 1 or fewer losses, you will be in every single time.

They all pull for each other. It's why rivalries in the sec are a complete joke. There's not hate, people put conference pride over their own teams. It's sad really

Yea, that non hate filled Alabama Auburn rivalry sure is overrated.
