Oh yes,the 2000 orange bowl. Bama ran into a little used Michigan qb named Tom Brady. Whatever happened to that guy? Did he ever do anything?

That SEC Championship was amazing. Everyone thought the missed XP overtime win in the Swamp was a fluke and they were gonna wipe the floor with us in the rematch. We believed it too. In the champ game they return the opening kick to the house and it's like well frick here it comes. Instead we just proceed to destroy them.

That overtime game in the Swamp is probably the most meaningful memory I have of watching a Bama game with my father. He was visiting me when I was working at Ole Miss while my wife finished her PhD, and all weekend after the game one of us would just look at the other and say "40-39" and we'd both just grin.

My favorite thing about that game was Spurrier's smug arse during his press conference,"We aren't going to let #37 beat us." Wouldn't even say his name. First play from scrimmage in ot. Classic Alabama toss sweep to Alexander for the winning td. And of course his throwing of the visor during the 99 SECCG as Bama put the same beat down on him(Spurrier) that he was putting on the little schools he had been playing.

the 1999 Alabama football team.

The book was called " Bama gets new challenge in SEC : LSU to begin fielding a football team in 2000"

Wow...trying to reach out to Bama fans with a sincere question and get sarcastic answers. Can't say I'm surprised.

Relax, Sally.
