I remember thumbing through a book about the 1999 Alabama football team. What was the name of that book? Ive tried to find it online, but my attempts have failed.
Thanks in advance.

It's called Beating Florida with Our Worst Coach in Modern History. You have to read it twice

There is a little known sequel entitled "Why I Should Get Paid For Coaching Bama to an SEC Title" by Shawn Alexander.

Return to Glory: The Mike Dubose Story.
It went out of print in the fall of 2000

And the epilogue called Damnit Pflugner, it's typed on a rotten Orange and thrown to the left of your house

Wow...trying to reach out to Bama fans with a sincere question and get sarcastic answers. Can't say I'm surprised.

Relax. I don't know the answer. We're making jokes.

It was written by spurrier. It was called how the hell did I lose...never mind.
Not sure the name. I think it was one of those Atchison books talking about how all Bama players were were godly or something. Faith if the crimson tide maybe.

That's not really about the team, it's about fans

To be fair, Mike DuBose is always going to bring up strong emotions with the Alabama faithful

"It's just a game."
(It IS just a game...but saying that right after single handedly blowing the Orange Bowl might not be the best time)

If I knew the answer I'd tell you. The Mike DuBose era was by far the most painful time in Alabama history, and those of us who lived through it and now enjoy the current success probably get a little enjoyment from joking about it.
At the time, it just SUCKED.

Listened to that Orange Bowl driving home from the Phish show in Big Cypress.
I beat the hell out of my dashboard when he missed. It was probably a combo of a 3 day drug fueled party and too much Bama in me.

I can live with your negative stereotype about Alabama fans being that we are sarcastic on message boards

That shitty little unknown Michigan QB really ate us up that day.
Then he went on to play for the New England Patriots and become the greatest QB of all time.

That SEC Championship was amazing. Everyone thought the missed XP overtime win in the Swamp was a fluke and they were gonna wipe the floor with us in the rematch. We believed it too. In the champ game they return the opening kick to the house and it's like well frick here it comes. Instead we just proceed to destroy them.

Yeah. I remember when he took over for Bledsoe I was like "I hope he gets knocked out!"
