Not the first time this "question" has been asked. The answer is always the same. No.

The improvements to the stadium and other facilities would not have been possible in the Big 12. Plus we like playing the SEC schools more.

And no Aggie feels like TCU or Baylor would dominate or even beat A&M. We have strong records against both schools. We match up well against them. There is zero concern.

We're going to win an SEC title within the next 5 years.

Its not at all obvious that Nebraska is going to win the Big 10. What about you? Do you pine for the Big 12?

lol passive aggressive comments aside, the Big 12 was on a downswing. The move to the SEC was a plus for money, facilities, recruiting, and entertainment for fans. How do we even know if the Big 12 will exist in 30 years? Nebraska saw the light at the end of the Big 10 tunnel, and the took is. We did the same with the SEC.

Sounds to me like Nebraska fans are sorely missing the Big 12, if they're asking this question like it's legit.

the big ten west isn't more difficult than the big 12 north was, I'm sure Nebraska will continue going 8-4 or 9-3 and telling themselves they are on the cusp of another national title.

I will never look back. 100 year decision. Should have been in the SEC many years ago. As a season ticket holder would you rather see Iowa state, Kansas etc. Or the SEC teams?

A&M went from its worst decade in the modern era to the sec with a media spark plug. We've been very fortunate with our change in public perception. The sec exposure is huge.

Nebraska's last victory over A&M was in 2006, over Dennis Franchione.

In fact, that was Nebraska's last victory over either of the Texas flagships.

Nebraska went 6-11 vs. the two Texas flagships in Big 12 play.

No wonder they fled.

If you guys hadn't gotten skull dragged by the Mississippi schools last year it would be more believable that you could compete with Baylor and TCU.

TCU's record vs. A&M since 1972: 0-25
Baylor's record vs. A&M since 1985: 2-23-1

End of argument.

I am a grown-arse man, born during the Nixon Administration, and I have never witnessed TCU beat A&M during my lifetime.

I have been to many, many A&M v. Baylor games, even during some of the worst A&M years, both a Kyle and Floyd Case, and I have never personally witnessed a Baylor victory. Of course, I only had the opportunity 2 times.

We have consistently and soundly beat that arse....hard.

Moot point. If in 30 years we haven't won the SEC at least thrice then we will have formed an NFL team called The Texas Aggies (who will play at Kyle on Sundays) and a new conference in college ball that includes Harvard, Virginia Tech, Oregon, Michigan, Baylor, Princeton, Florida State, Penn State, Rutgers, Nebraska, Marshall, and Notre Dame.

... with invitations to Army, Navy, Air Force, Auburn, Tennessee, and Georgia. (The rest of y'all can die trying)...

Next question?

OP: your question is flawed because your assumptions are bullshite. First of all, we had a really bad decade in the 2000's. We fired a pretty good coach and hired two really bad ones. We wouldn't have even won the SWC, if it had still been around in the 2000's.

Second, we were successful for the most part during the late 70's, 1980's, and 1990's. We will be successful again.

Some of you dumbasses believe that because we sucked in the 2000's that we've always sucked and will always do so. Guess who else sucked for a decade? LSU and OU in the 1990's. It happens. You recover and move on.

And I'd rather be terrible in the SEC for the next century than be in the XII.
