I love how State believes they are a better overall program because they laid the smack down on LSU last season. Y’all beat our asses no excuses. That won’t happen every year especially not with Mullen gone. LSU has managed to beat State for how many years straight without a QB? Get outta here. It’s bama, Auburn then LSU and A&M fighting for that next spot. Y’all are tough in Starkville that’s it.

his was my thinking, too. I just saw some Florida fans saying they expected 10-11 wins, etc. and belittling MStates chances. I'm sure some of it was trolling, but I think some honestly believe and expect that. But, Florida will get there. It will just take time

If this roster wins 10 games, Mullen will be National Coach of the Year. We have no experienced QB, a very average depth chart at defensive tackle, an offensive line that hasn’t been aggressive since Meyer left, and about 16 3 star development projects at LB thanks to Randy Shannon. Yeah 10-11 wins ain’t happening.

Nobody thinks that. I'm 26 and we've beaten LSU 4 times in my lifetime. Calm down.

The besuty of the roster being underdeveloped is thta Mullen seems to excell at coaching players up, so I wouldn't count him out.

For me it will be interesting to see how he handles criticism from Florida fans if/when the team struggles.
He was great at MState, and didn't get the pressure from their fans he will see at Florida. If he can handle it well and go about his business he will be very successful there. If not....

We beat your #3 contenders by a combined 72-21 in 2017. A&M was on the road by the way. Go ahead and give me all the areas where both of those teams will be improved. Assuming both will be, to assume they will both improve that much and/or we will regress to the point you can safely say both are automatic losses is a bold assumption.

MSU will have a better season and outside of a few Gator homers I think everyone knows that. Mullen built a solid team over there.

Florida, on the other hand, is really bad and Mullen has a complete rebuild on his hands.

I think the up side at Florida is obviously higher moving forward, for a lot of reasons, but in 2018, I'd honestly be shocked if Florida had a better record than MSU.

This year maybe State but in the long term Florida has a much higher ceiling. In fact I would not totally discount Florida this year, they were bad last year but they had a dead man walking coach and the players played like it. Their effort will likely be better this year.

I think they're 2nd in the East this year. I don't have any idea what they have on defense , but Dan will find a way to score points

I don't believe this... Cohen had a HC lined up already, just like Mullen had a job lined up already. The coaching search began when Cohen took over as the AD. Mullen thinks he is bigger than the athletic program. Florida's AD is weak and will let him.

I’d say State fans are happier about getting Moorhead than they are pissed about losing Mullen. The way it went down sucked, but it’s pretty easy to get over a dickhead like Muffins.

I don't think there is one State posters that has said or thinks we have a better program than LSU. Most, however, think we are better this year, as do most preseason prognosticators.

If this board is an accurate reflection of their fan base, Florida fans don't appear to feel that way.

So much for not trolling.

How was that a troll? I have seen several Florida posters say they would be back this year. Straws and UFMatt for starters and off the top of my head. I would be willing to bet that I can find other posts saying the same, if I wanted to take the time.

Guilty as charged, UF will win a minimum of 9 games this year. UF vs UG on Halloween will decide the East.

Will you give some supporting evidence for this? I don’t see how you come up with a 9 win minimum? Georgia, FSU, MSU, LSU, USCe, and Tennessee have more talent than us. USCe mainly because of QB. What has you so optimistic? Or are you just always like this in July?

Okay. I'll wait for you to link them. I am patient.

All I can say is it was not intended to be a troll. I got the idea for this thread when I saw a gator fan post something about Mullen "left MState for a prettier girlfriend" or something to that effect, and it got me to wondering if all gator fans felt like they were the "prettier girl" right now....so i asked.

It seems Straws, UFMatt and a couple of others are the outliers, so my curiosity is satisfied. but no. It was not meant as a troll.

Now, show me a post where a Georgia poster said we would go 15-0 the next three seasons in a row,

Hey. I don't have a problem with you feeling that way about your team. We are all fans. I think it is a little over ambitious, but like I said. We are all fans have have high hopes for our team. I was mainly wondering if this was a common feeling among Gator fans.

We might not agree on a lot, but I have seen some posts you made that were very classy. (Saying you hoped Fromm would be okay because you hate to see players get hurt, for one)
My posts were not meant to criticize you. Only to point out that some fans have very high expectations.
