I'm betting UF and UK split most preseason votes. UK is vulnerable next season with no experience or shooters

I feel like we will have a ton of talent next year and I like what I saw out of the young bucks last year. Howland won't be coaching for his job but it is time for him to start making progress. I expect a top 5 seed in the SEC tournament and an NCAA bid

Auburn
Pg- Mitchell, Harper
Sg- Heron, Brown
Sf- Purifoy, Dunbar
Pf- Spencer, Okeke
C- Wiley, McLemore
This is what I expect our 2 deep to look like. Mitchell may not start day 1 but he'll take over for Harper before conference play starts. All 10 of those will get close to equal minutes. I doubt anyone averages over 25 minutes a game. Murray will play the 3 here but I'm not sold on him either. He may surprise me but unless there are injuries I don't expect him to get double figure minutes.

I'm not sure why everybody is sleeping so hard on Murray but I can only hope opposing coaches and players feel the same. I kind of like it. He's a damn good player.
You think so? Murray seems like a natural 4. His skill set is perfect for the spot. If Horace Spencer wasn't going to be the only upperclassmen then I would think his playing time would get phased out by Okeke and Murray. But we are in desperate need of experience and leadership.
What a nice problem to have though. Been a long long time since Auburn had talent and depth like this. It's kind of frustrating that the entire SEC is on the come up at the same time as us. 5 years ago this Auburn team would've been a lock to come out of the SEC and make the tourney. It's going to be a struggle now though with the sudden influx of talent and coaching into the conference.

Updated with James Daniel committing to Tennessee. Have to assume Turner's PT is about to disappear

I think Okeke will start. Maybe not game 1 but at some point.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Turner leave at some point
Bone/Turner
Daniel/Darrington
Bowden/Johnson/Pons
Williams/Schofield/Walker
Fulkerson/Alexander/Kent
I think it's similar to last season in that there are a lot of interchangeable parts but obviously a lot more game experience here. Williams is the only guy I feel like you really know what you're going to get night in and night out from, though I hope he can improve even more. I think there's a wide possibility of outcomes for this team.

That starting five would be probably the shortest in the conference
6'0"
5'11"
6'2"
6'7"
6'9"
I'm thinking either Johnson or Pons is going to get more playing time than expected just for defense

Johnson and Pons are total wild cards. Both freak athletes who seem like projects. The staff seems to be more confident in Pons defensively but Johnson has had a year in the system and is more skilled offensively. If either guy figures it out I think Bowden probably slides to the bench.

Will Wade just added the #41 overall player in the country to LSU, PG Tremont Waters:
LINK
Will be interesting who starts at PG between him and Skylar Mays. Wade has been doing work since arriving to campus adding:
- Grad Transfer PF Jeremy Combs from North Texas (averaged 15/11 in sophomore year, all conference)
- JUCO SG Daryl Edwards (shot 47% from 3 last season, had offers from UNLV, Utah, Iowa State and Wade at VCU)
- PF/C Mayan Kiir (4-star on 247's rankings, #159 overall in composite; had offers from NC State, Illinois, Wade at VCU & Mississippi State)
- PG Tremont Waters (4-star #41 overall in composite; had offers from all over including but not limited to Georgetown, Kansas, Indiana, UConn, Kentucky, Duke & Purdue)
On top of Galen Alexander and Brandon Rachal, 2 4-star signees from Johnny Jones.

Will LSU suck again next year?

Highly doubtful, Wade is a good coach and actually has a decent roster he's assembled. Never thought I'd see this kind of team just 3 months ago. I think we'll be somewhere around .500 in conference play. Probably 7-11 to 10-8 or so.

Almost every SEC school is supposed to be improved this year in some way. Someone has to finish last tho. Gonna be a very interesting and fun year.
