Sold tickets and attendance are 2 different things

LSU provides both. Not sure if many schools do that. But those numbers in that ranking are based on tickets sold.

While we're on the subject of profitability...how many suites are in the other stadiums besides Alex Box (27)? Because that's usually a pretty good indicator.

Baum has 34 suites currently. They're going to add a few more in the next planned expansion.

Y'all kinda came out of nowhere that year though.

What do you mean nowhere? We have a long tradition of success and support from the fans. Sure I imagine the sales went up for the championship merchandise but it wasn't a surprise to Gamecock fans that we had a good team.

Over the last 10 years, I'd say it is as follows:

LSU

Arkansas
Mississippi State
South Carolina

Ole Miss (on the bubble)

Texas A&M
Florida

Nobody comes close to generating the revenue in baseball that LSU does.

Alex Box has 27 suites that sell out every year with a donation requirement of $40,000 per year.

LSU has led the nation in attendance 18 years in a row and sold an average of 11,006 tickets in 43 home games last year.

Donation requirements, per seat, for season tickets are:
$2000 for Purple Home Plate
$1500 for Purple Dug Out
$350 for Gold Field Box
$200 for Gold Grandstand
$100 for Green Grandstand
$50 for Outfield

Tickets are $15 for grandstand and $10 for bleachers per game.

That's a ton of revenue for a non-revenue sport.

The stadium and program is impressive. Wish LSU could channel some of that into Men's Basketball.
