Did everyone agree to play for this title before the season
Cecil Hurt says it best.
The conference that UCF is in, American Athletic Conference, is part of the governance of the CFP. Their commissioner, Michael Aresco, is on the Management Committee. LINK
I believe all the 10 conferences, including theirs, receive revenue from the CFP.... LINK

Bama’s 1941 team beat 7 major programs
UCFs undefeated season is better than that.

How many P5 programs did they beat during the season? How many Top 15?
Going undefeated against the Florida Schools for the Deaf, Blind, and Auburn Fans doesn’t mean jack shite.

#20 in the AP, #1 in your trailer park

Why would anyone have a problem with this? Who cares?
I mean, this is at least the most semi-round about defensible argument of these type of teams. Went undefeated and beat a team that literally beat both teams in the National Title game.
It would at least make a good t-shirt (which is kind of the only point).

Yep, like Auburn's 2004 season. They could claim it if they wanted to. I think they were the only undefeated team in the country that year. Got screwed like Bama's 1966 team.

And didn't Arkansas have an undefeated season in 1964, though Bama got the hardware due to the rules at the time.

They can make some great t-shirts

It was a fun parade too!

You would be wrong if you thought they were the only undefeated team.

Haha - I meant UCF with the shirts. You can say national champs and then talk shite about the SEC/Auburn beating UGA/Bama and you beating them.
But I vividly remember the Auburn rings.

This is cute. You play no one all year and give a good but unmotivated team their 4th loss and you think it give the right to act like the kings of the world just because you didn't lose? cool story.

Bama & Georgia may as well shut it down.
Props to the real champion, UCF!!!
Any UCF fans here want to give a speech to accept it?

UCF did beat a team that beat both NC game participants
But Clemson beat the team that beat both NC game participants. I think they should split it with UCF.
Wait... Bama beat Clemson. Maybe a three way split is the right thing to do? Or should Auburn get in there too since they beat Bama?

And got shut out at home by the deserving 1941 Champ, Mississippi State.
