I mean, I'm sorry that Tennessee hasn't even been relevant in their own conference in a decade while Iowa is in the national title picture in November, and they're about to play in their 3rd major bowl game since the last time Tennessee played in one. I'm sure it burns.
It'd burn me too, but I can't remember the last time Auburn lost to Tennessee, and our 3 SEC Championships and 2 NCG appearances since the last time Tennessee was worth a shite help ease my pain.

yet, tennessee's program is in much better shape currently, and they weren't literally the biggest disappointment in all of college football this year.

Well they have a better OL than anybody Bama has played so far, and they are more than just a one horse backfield. 3 different backs have hit 200 yards and 3 TD games for them.
They also have a slippery and accurate QB in the mold that typically gives Saban fits and NFL TEs out the arse for the check downs. They matchup well.

Clemson, OSU, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, ND, UNC, Baylor, Stanford, FSU (if they play the white QB) should all beat Bama this year.
