2007 - Matt Cadell caught that ball.He controlled it throughout the catch as far as replay showed. Doesn't matter that the nose touched the ground as he had control.

The rules were different back then, though. Hester took damn near two steps after catching a ball against Auburn and it was reviewed and called incomplete.

CLM, at a booster's luncheon in his third yr, said that when he was at Okie St. he talked to the league director of officials twice a yr. Once immedicately after the season for a season long review of officials, then again in the Spring to go over any new rules/changes. Whereas since being at LSU, he found himself having to call the league office, to complain about the officials/certain calls, every wk, with complaints over multiple questionable bad calls. He was not claiming any LSU bias, he was just saying how bad the officiating in the SEC is across the board. Doubt much has changed. SEC officials just suck. Why is it that the same officiating crew covers the best games? Is there not another crew, or 3-4, just as good? No.
