Now that Tyler Russell is out of the mix- State returns to its rightful place in the top 3-4 in the SEC in rushing
Where they've only finished twice under Mullen (his first 2 years)?

I don't think you know what "rightful place" means...

i'm not sure in what order, but it seems like this stat will dominated by the SEC West.

I can see Auburn, Bama, Arkansas, Miss State, and LSU (LSU will stick to the run much more) being up there. I would almost guarantee 3 of these.

In the east you have to like Georgia as the top contender. Florida runs the ball a ton and I think we could see Tennessee put something together this year.

Honestly it seems like:

Auburn
Bama
Georgia
Arkansas
Miss State

You're forgetting the team returning 4/5 O-lineman and the rusher with the most YPC in the SEC.

No. He put Auburn number 1.

Mizzou finished #2 in the SEC in rushing this past year while averaging 40 yards more per game than USCe and almost 1 YPC more than USCe. Putting USCe and State in your top 5 over Mizzou is probably more laughable.

That would be cool and all, but 2014 teams are not the same as 2013....................

I thought this was the SEC. You know.. the place where teams are never analyzed by their actual rosters, but rather by whatever is the most convenient combination of their historical rankings and the predictive power of stars...

Pretty much this. However I could see LSU being higher just because LSU is better than Arkansas in every way known to man and beast.

I don't know if Mizzou will finish #2 again, but we'll be top five. We return three of five OL, an RB that had 685 yards on 6 ypc and another that had 601 at 6.5 ypc. Mauk had 226 yards at 5.6 ypc in three games plus a quarter against Georgia.

The other thing I realized thinking about this is that Henry Josey doesn't get enough credit. All that talk about Mike Davis last season and Josey was clearly the better runner.

Mizzou- what is y'all's OLine looking like for next year? I haven't heard who y'all are losing/returning.

We lose Max Copeland and Justin Britt but the guys coming in have some game experience. Even though talent-wise Max wasn't all-world, he was a great teammate to the OL. I think we'll be OK.

The fact that so many of you are leaving South Carolina off your lists is comical.

Why? Just because you have Mike Davis? Every team listed has top level backs as well.

Josey was good, but not better than Davis.
