Ole Miss will be forced to retire its iconic mascot, and in its place they will have an anthropomorphic, were-bear thing...
oh wait.
oh wait.

Ole Miss has 90 days to submit its rebuttal to the NCAA, which then has 60 days to develop a case summary. If the facts of the case aren’t agreed upon, the case goes before the committee on infractions. A hearing before the committee is then set, meaning the university would be unlikely to have the matter resolved before September

Yeah, the last three years we've been slowly going down the tubes. QBs quitting left and right. Record getting worse every year. Coach turning into a public drunk. Can't beat LSU....
Wait..

Probably 10-15 scholarships over a three year period, and maybe a one year bowl ban. Some wins from the last two seasons (including the sugar bowl) most likely vacated. Potentially a show-cause for Freeze. Nothing to sneeze at, but not necessarily a punishment of significant impact. The real damage is in future recruiting. Freeze and his staff lied to the recruits and, more importantly, their coaches. HS coaches talk to each other and often turn on a coach for things like that. You lose your home state recruiting- might as well call it a job.

Hopefully not. I like a competitive SEC. But you are being a bit of a homer if you think Ole Miss skates through this. Penalties will be handed down. The question is how severe.

What you retards don't realize is that no ole miss fan is saying we won't get penalized. I honestly have no idea where you guys are coming up with that idea.

Wrong. There are several of your boys on this site who have argued that Ole Miss has already taken enough corrective actions, and that will satisfy the NCAA, and before today the majority of Rebear fans swore that everything except Tunsil and a couple of minor bullshite infractions were commited prior to Freeze or by the other sports that were involved.

We've already suggested penalties. No one is we're not getting anything.
But the OP is saying a show cause for Freeze along with multiple year bowl bans.
Not gonna happen.

That's not what I said. I said scholarship reductions and possibly a one year bowl ban/Freeze show-cause. The show-cause is pretty unlikely, but at this point I think the one year bowl ban is 50/50.

We're still saying that, because that's true.

Of the 13 violations involving football, four involve the current staff and were self-reported by Ole Miss, which also took steps to self-impose penalties in some cases, sources told ESPN.com. Those four violations are a violation of the "bump rule," which says coaches can't have contact with a recruit during a designated non-contact evaluation period; an improper recruiting video made outside the locker room; a person the NCAA considers a booster illegally transporting a recruit to campus; and a stepfather of a recruit having his lodging paid for during an official visit. That last rule has since been changed by the NCAA.
Sources told ESPN.com that four other violations involve the former staff at Ole Miss under Houston Nutt, specifically former assistant coach David Saunders.
Five other violations revolve around former offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil
So 13 violations total:
5 - Laremy Tunsil
4 - David Saunders/Nutt
4 - Minor self-reported infractions

What player will be ruled ineligible that they will have to vacate wins for last year? Not Tunsil Not Hampton
