Yep, Clemson played well and we were awful. Our young team lost composure quickly against the best team in the country at their place at night.
That being said a lot of that team is gone, and it's still a rivalry game. Not a lot of guarantees in rivalry games unless you just don't know much about college football.
Y'all beat our 3-9 team who lost to the Citadel by 5 last time you came to Columbia.

That's one way to spin it.
Another is that the defense y'all scored 7 points against is returning all the big names with the exception of Bulware. Lost two from the two-deep on the line. One of this is Pagano, a future NFL tackle who saw he wouldn't even get to start here and is grad transferring. Clemson will have struggles this year, but they won't be in Cola.
That '15 game was never in doubt, and that five point score, as you know, came about on the very last play of the game against guys who hadn'seen the field since the SCSt game. They were the guys who made Bentley quit last year.

It's still a rivalry game, and those are typically unpredictable. I'm not saying we win, I just don't think it's a "guaranteed loss" in Columbia even after last year.

I'll take your word for it.
I literally can't name a single Clemson player now that Watson and Gallman are gone. But I really pay no attention to Clemson other than the game we play every year.
Funny I have a general idea what's shaking with all the SEC East schools, but just no idea what happens in Pickens county.
We'll see when we play this year.

Really I only watch the Gamecocks. Occasionally I watch other games if I am interested in them.
Watched Wisconsin/LSU last year for that reason.
But no, I don't watch football from 12 to 8 or 9 pm on Saturdays in the fall.

This is a great message board. I don't start Clemson threads, but I have plenty to contribute on SCjr sports. Like the fact that we won as many SEC football games as the Gamecocks last year. Stuff like that.

1) Do any SEC fans hang out and post on a board involving ACC football? Like ever?
2) I'm genuinely curious. Do any Gamecocks ever post on a Clemson board? I know I've looked at one in the past, but it's been so long I can't even remember what it was called?
3) What exactly do you get out of posting here? Explain it to me. I can't imagine going to the trouble of registering on something called ACC Rant (or whatever it would be called). I just don't care.
So what's your angle?
Is it something like "Wow, this Clemson guy... he really makes you think. His points are so deep, and he's put so much thought into everything. Wow, just wow."

That's a fricking joke right? The meltdowns that happen here are epic. Each team has a core group of true fans here, but a conservative estimate is 70-80% of the posters are the definition of fair weather (not counting alters that just troll).

I don't believe that. I think you can tell whether someone actually watches games or is a "fan" with a logo by their name within a few posts. There are a lot of those, like this cat that watches SEC teams only.
I don't consider the guy that loses his shite after a crushing loss a fair weather fan, unless he jumps on another school's dick right away.

South Carolina will win 8 games at minimum IMO. There are no sure losses on that schedule. Not even Clemson. We started freshman all across the board and went 6-7 last season with virtually no set qb or run game for the first 6 games. We get Rico Dowdle and Ty'son Williams who had to redshirt last season because of transfer rules to start the season. With all the guys returning who played last season I fully expect 8 wins at minimum

I think I'll be OK this year. I don't expect to win every game with a new QB, and we just finished two amazing seasons. We have some tough games on the slate.
I kind of hope y'all are better. Its more fun when both sides legitimately think they can win; right now just the homerist crazies think y'all can win.
It's been like kicking puppies lately.
