How much bourbon have you had tonight? Dude, the whole nation knows that ole piss is a total racist place. The Greek fraternity treat black people like shite and call them the N word. You just want to justify that shite because it's "the way it's always been".

You've obviously never been to Oxford, and you obviously have a very ignorant view of Oxford. Maybe you should take a trip up there. You'll either get your arse-kicked, or you'll have realization Ole Miss is nothing of what you think it is.

Went through rush, had alot of freinds in frats, but I never joined. I never heard that shite once while at school. But I wasnt in a frat. I had black friends at OM and they never told me anything like that from frat kids. I"ve been to the UF frats multiple times, and I didnt see anything different going on there racially vs OM. I think you just have a dark, prejudice, ignorant view of Ole Miss. Sad.

Murray Hill Gators comments in this thread has proven my statement that Florida is NOT the south. There is no difference in his comments than what a Cal/Berkely SJW would say...

PSA for all Rebels making the trip...stay in groups. do NOT get caught in a situation where you are isolated, or you could very well get beaten about the head and shoulders with a skateboard. (see berkely violence from last week)

Back in the 70s when SoCal came to play Alabama in Birmingham, some of the USC players brought guns and knives to protect themselves from the "riots and violence" as it was all they'd ever heard of about the South.

Mississippi heads to Cali and it's now the other way around.

For reall mane. All the black kids at Ole Miss I met or hung with were just like us. My boy Julian, who claimed he hated country music, dropped out after three years, and joined the army. One of my greatest memories was with him and two other buddies was out at lake Sardis. We all got hammered, and on our way back to Oxford we were jammin out to some country in my buddies suburban, and Julian was singing everyword at the top of his lungs to "Rascal Flatts, Life is a Highway". Bro, I didnt even know half the words to this song, and I called him out about it like three months later, and he denied it. I still frick wit him about it to this day tho.

Well you never know, I'm sure most of those ANTIFA frickers stay in hostiles or are homeless around there, they start the riots and anything can happen. But honestly what I expect is a smooth fun day. I doubt most of those crazy liberal assholes will know a football game is going on that day. The only way these cowards will see this game coming... it'll be because the sports media is blowing up the "culture war game" like OP made a reference to, which wouldnt surprise me honestly. But I think the media will be focused on other games. Two average to below average teams probably aint gettin much media recognition.

Don't believe everything the internet tells you. "Ole Miss" originated from a Yearbook nickname that had nothing to do with racism

Well this is asinine. What if the winner of the Yearbook Nickname Contest had been the N-words? Would that make n-word any less of a racist term? The term "Ole Miss" had a definitive meaning before the University of MS adopted it, and it was the term used to define the white matron of the estate

how hard is it to accept the fact that Ole Miss simply means "ole Mississippi"...you guys desperately try to frame the narrative to fit your agenda, and I understand. the racist narrative is the only thing that prevents MSU from becoming irrelevant as far as college sports goes in the 'Sipp.

and SOUTHERN MISS doesn't refer to a directional school located in the southern portion of the state...it is a reference to the pretty girls in the deep south.

at least 1/2 of my Ole Miss friends who are making this trip consider themselves "liberal". I've wondered if they will change their label after this trip

There is real world liberal and then there is California liberal. Or European liberal God help us all. Those folks are scary as hell.

After all, most of us are a bit liberal on some issues, a bit conservative on others and lean Republican or Democrat based on a couple of important issues.

These folks are so far to the left they are in danger of looping all the way around to the right. A friend who lives out there and was "converted" to their way of thinking (and it is a religion to them) spent an hour trying to convince me that the guy who cooks your fries at McDonalds should be paid the same as a neurosurgeon.

She believed it with all her heart too.

I guess being liberal or conservative is a construct of one's environment. My views are probably on the liberal end of the spectrum here in MS, but I would be labeled a fascist in Berkely

I have been out to that part of the country before and even though I consider myself vaguely liberal to the locals I might as well have had a swastika tattoo and a Stormfront account.

If you aren't a true believer then you might as well be Mussolini.
