LSU's average attendance (which was the highest in the NCAA) is still about 600 lower than North Dakota's hockey attendance (which was the highest in the NCAA)
FIFY
LSU's avg was higher than every other hockey team other than UND. Total attendance is a no brainer. Profit is a no brainer as well.
There are 298 schools that play division 1 college baseball vs 59 in division 1 college hockey.
You talk about average attendance but the total attendance for college baseball is so much larger it's not even funny.
Division I (NCAA)

You missed my point.
He is using SEC statistics vs National statistics.
Why not SEC vs Big 10 or whatever conference has the highest hockey attendance? Or average college baseball attendance vs Big 10 hockey?

I also noted that about 20 more home games are played in college baseball than in college hockey. Nobody here has argued against total attendance being in favor of baseball.

So because India and China have larger populations than the United States, they must be better.

It's not just 20 more home games. It's also 298 baseball teams vs 59 hockey teams in division 1.
That percentage gets even worse among smaller colleges.

Baseball isn't a fricking sport. Fat dudes who run maybe a quarter mile at most play this slow game. You're not an athlete bro. And the coaches wear jerseys? WTF? It encourages procrastination, slowness, and dip. I fricking hate it.

LINK Page 36. According to this, overall they both lose a shite load of money. But baseball loses more. Done and done.

What? I'm not comparing the entire NCAA Baseball average against the entire NCAA Hockey average.

What percentage?

I'm not sure what all the factors are. Maybe there are other considerations. That's just what's in the book. I didn't write it.

I've never really liked baseball. I can watch the MLB playoffs but besides that just can't watch it.
It's too slow of a game, also way too "mechanical" in nature.
There are too many games (something I don't like about all non-football sports) and so the games really don't feel like they matter. That's why I watch the playoffs, as those games matter and they have a totally different feel and intensity.
Plus, college baseball is not quite the same as college football or even basketball.
College football/basketball are basically the minor leagues, whereas college baseball is typically not.
