Do you know how weak last year's group was prior to the season? McCarron, Murray, Manziel, Wallace was it.
The year prior was Murray, Wilson, and you could possibly make a case for Bray because of his WRs. In 2011, Wilson, Murray and that was it. As a matter of fact, the 2011 squad was so bad that only four QBs passed for over 1600 yards. We have four coming back that accomplished that.
I get so tired of you short memory folks with all this hyperbole about a weak QB year. It's like you've all forgotten that last year was the humongous exception to the rule in the SEC. Marshall and Dak have the talent and talent around them to go 35, 35 (3500 total yards 35 TD) and have the production with limited resources, experience and playtime to prove it. Wallace dropped 7 ints off his first year and had over 350 yards and 6 TDs again in the run game. Mauk threw for 900 yards in four games with 10 TDs and 2 ints. UGA is loaded at WR, Mason is a 5th year senior and Mike Bobo is still coaching. For how bad Cox did in turnovers, he still threw for nearly 2600 yards and 24 TDs. Thompson is possibly in the top five of most experienced back ups in the nation. He brings back a good core of receivers, I can't see less than 2800 passing yards. Sumlin always has a top QB even back to Drew Brees at Purdue. Somebody is throwing for 3k with 20+ TDs.

Mason gonna go HAM on you fools

Are we going by stats? Because it WILL be Kyle Allen if that's the case.

Not even close, Bo Wallace...am I playing the game right?

Obvious AU answer is Nick marshall, but I think that Dak Prescott is the real deal, and frankly I think Hutson Mason at UGA is going to show out.

The obvious answer is KFF (Kenny/Kyle). No matter how bad a qb is, Sumlin will always find a way to make them generate top-teir college qb stats.

So many new QB's this year. Some might impress, but until they show it, I'll go with someone who's done it already and go with Marshall.
Mauk will be interesting to watch. He had his best spring yet, getting his completion percentage up to the mid to upper 60's. He also stopped running backwards. Those were the 2 biggest knocks on him last year.

Nick Marshall without a doubt

Dak runs with a lot of power and is still fast enough to get by people. Plus he dishes out some punishment and can take it as well. He's built like a RB. That makes him the best rushing qb in the SEC, and it's not really close.
Marshall is shiftier, and throws well, but if it weren't for Malzahn's system, he wouldn't even be compared to Dak
Wallace will be in the mix for the overall numbers. He's got a little quick to him and is accurate in short throws. He plays very hard.

I'd have to say Dak Prescott as well. He's got a chance to make some noise this year.
Of course, "best" is subjective measurement that can be defined differently. Going to have to win some big games to get the nod.

Ole Miss will not only have the best Quarterback in Bo Wallace, but also the best QB-WR Combo in Bo Wallace and LAQUON TREADWELL. I hope the SEC is ready to give up 350 passing yards a night.

I honestly don't know but if either Dobbs or Worley start for us they will be the most improved SEC QBs hands down. May not be the 'best' but definitely the most improved - their throws, arm strength, and accuracy are just that much better despite still having more to work on before the season starts and our WR/TE corps (which was a huge team weakness last year) is absolutely unreal this year. Even Peterman (who started the Florida game and looked terrible) looks miles better from last year. A good receiving corps is definitely a QBs best friend.

Mauk or Bro Wallace
Dylan Thompson won't be top 5

on paper nick marshall, his passing on long pass plays leaves a lot to be desired. but none of the other QB's look to be all that great either. I think marshal is great running the ball though.
