Houston Nutt, I guess. We're pretty void of high profile rapers and murderists for the most part.

Serious mental illness can do that to people.

Not "embarrassed" by but more so embarrassed for Jamarcus Russel.

May well have had the greatest arm talent to ever come out of LSU and will forever go down as one of the greatest busts in NFL history. Very sad, because those that knew him or ever talked to him, knew he was not a malicious person nor the type that did not want to compete. Just could not break away from the addiction (crazy how someone could literally get payed millions of dollars to walk away because they could not stop doing drugs) and could not get the people around him or realize until it was far too late to put the work ethic in.

I was not that old and went with my dad, and went to the Sugar Bowl against Notre Dame who had Brady Quinn, and to this day, in my young life, I still remember thinking that was the most impressive QB performance I have witnessed with my own two eyes. Looking back it may not have been, and ND was probably over ranked, but it just seemed so effortless, like there was no throw under 80 yards he could not make. Then to see him basically make Quinn look like a JV scrub was something else.

Todd McShay says the greatest single NFL combine or pre-draft workout was JR. That to me says it all, very saddening and overall for the next 50 years everytime the "NFL busts" gets brought up he will be mentioned. One of the Top-5 strongest arms of all-time, and he never even played a full season in the league if I remember correctly. Some say, had he been drafted by anyone but Davis and the Raiders maybe its a different narrative but IMO he had to many deomons both on the field and off of it.

Was wondering if someone was going to bring him up. Also surprised no Bama fan has mentioned Gene Jelks.

Jamarcus had a great arm but couldn't read defenses imo. If option #1 was covered, the play was over. His arm was so strong that he could fit it in during college. The NFL...that ain't happening. He was exposed. No biggie though, he was awesome at LSU. The guys on the short list of embarrassing players for me are:

Cecil Collins
Joey "Albert" Belle

Sprinkle some Eric Ramsey in that pot and you've got quite a bitter brew.

I'll be honest, when TM7 got kicked off the team for fake weed, and JJ kicked that Marine at the bar, I was pretty damn embarrassed. Glad they both got their life together.

Overall? Cecil Collins.

Bust? J Russell. He was electric in college, went #1 and shite the bed, badly. It is such a shame.

He had seriously bad to evil influences in his life more than anything else. There are plenty of LSU fans that hated seeing an in-state kid leave for talent reasons and state pride, but got over it knowing that he would most likely end up the way he did. Not best for a program, but that's the kind of kid Kiffin left Dooley to deal with.

Get back to your own school. Not only do we not want you, but you have plenty to be embarrassed about over there without changing schools.
