The average length of an NFL career for running backs is less than 3 years, and Fournette could make up to 25 mil per year.

Could you imagine sacrificing even one of those years to play and get (more) injured in a fricking consolation game? Can you imagine the impact that would have on LFs family and the rest of his life?

It's real easy to sit behind your computer and call the guy a quitter. I say he is making the smart decision.

And besides, given LFs injury, he is actually not LSUs most productive back right now. We don't need him.

Not sure about Baylor's RB or McCaffery (sp) but LF7 has $25+ million riding on getting healthy for the combine and draft. He'd be foolish to play in the bowl game.

This entire thread is bullshite for the most part. LF has been playing on injury much of the season and it has not healed. Wtf you want from this guy? His draft status is important and when he gets tested he needs to be 100%. Why on earth do people not see this? Oh sure, I'm certain the critics would play and risk a multi-million dollar deal. Sure you would.
