Losing Mauk would blow chunks. But there's some experience and talent behind him.

I'll go with our Center, Boehm. Before he shifted over from Guard, we seriously could not find a guy to deliver a consistent snap. We'd also miss his on-field leadership and ability to adjust the line.

Our QB depth is not a huge question mark. Losing Mauk would still hurt, but

if we lost our 2 starting DE's(knocks head on table), I just don't see how we can have a big year.

Some of Gus's strongest Offenses in the past have been when he has a passing QB. That is what makes him to prepare for in the off-season.

I realize there is good reason to be optimistic about JJ, but he has never done anything under pressure a skill NM has shown to possess. It is fairly rare at the higher levels. I would hate to loose NM for this reason alone.
