SunHog almost got it right. Arkansas hiring Bielema made EVERYONE's job tougher.

I'm not even saying we're a sleeping giant. We've made an unfortunate series of the wrong coaching hires since Peepaw fired Lou Holtz.

Jimmy Johnson was placed at OSU for when the Arkansas job opened up. Broyles reneged and the U got turned 4 notches.

Hired Jack Crowe, that lasted about a day. Didn't give Joe Kines a legit chance, brought Danny Ford in after he'd been out of the game and relevant for a few years, basically as a slight to Clemson who hired Hatfield.

Could've had Tubbs going into his prime, somehow hired Nutt.

Basically had Muschamp, Petrino swooped in at the last minute.

Bielema, finally, is the perfect mix of everything we value as a culture, fanbase, state, etc. His strengths are what have been weaknesses in the program for 20 years. This guy is not an idiot, he's got the values that resonate with 80% of the state, and he's affable to the media and seems to know how to not say the wrong thigs or act like an embarrassment.

Get your licks in on us in 2013, it'll be your only chance.

Impossible! Illinois has 33% more black people than Alabama.

As I said, dumb premise is dumb.

Illinois has 16% minority with 13 million people.
Alabama has 26% minority with 5 million people.

NFL talent from High School's of each state since 2005:
Alabama 46
Illinois 31

Do you understand the data or not? It's obvious Missouri is missing out by not recruiting Illinois much better.

Speaking of recruiting....your new head coach isn't much of a recruiter himself. How about you worry about your own dumpster fire Sunhog?

You're a pussy. You were nowhere to be found during this season while the dumpster fires were burning bright in Fayetteville. Now you come out of hiding because Arkansas hired a new coach to renew your terrible arse trolling?

Like I said. You're a pussy and a shitty poster.

You're a shite stain Sunhog.

Your point was that Missouri not fitting in was because we didn't have nearly enough people identifying themselves as black, since that (according to this thread so far) is the determining factor of a state's football talent level. I said it was dumb. Alabama has significantly less black people than Illinois, and yet miraculously produces more NFL players. South Carolina Mississippi have high percentage of black people, and yet they haven't been huge football powerhouses. You say we have the same "intangibles" and "resources" as Kentucky, so we'll be the same. Which was nice bait, but again, dumb premise is dumb.

Never said that. Asked how y'all plan to be successful with limited resources and geography challenge?

Majority of players are black is this new to you?

Because of the system... refer to my chart, smart one.

Less players ages 15-19 per population play football in Missouri and Illinois than Arkansas and Alabama.

The go to schools like Alabama and UGA.

By investing our (apparently) limited resources wisely and recruiting.

And yet very few players are coming from Africa. I wonder if there's something else involved?

Yes, the map you posted two pages and an hour after the Hugo's map showing we're out of the game because Missouri isn't black enough. System I can agree with, but that was an amendment to the original statements that were made.
System is a key, and if that would have been your original statement I'd be likely to agree. However, it wasn't.

Not to mention the players per 1,000 on FBS rosters in Missouri is equal to horrible football talent producing states like Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

But, but, but, USC, Ole Miss, and MSU are so much closer to those kids in that huge talent pool and we both know kids won't travel outside of their area to play football.

I don't know how I bit, but there you go.

Yes, what dumpster fire now? We have a great coach, new facilities being built and stadium expansion on the way not to mention energized fan base again.

What was there to defend I guess you missed all my threads about firing John L midseason would probably be less harmful than keeping him until the end.

Kinda funny that Ohio is 12% black with 12 million people and a great system putting 15-19 year old in pads.

They put more NFL players in the pro's from the High School's than Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana.

If Mississippi didn't have Alabama and LSU so close who's stadiums and coaching have been so much better they would have an easier time recruiting. Not to mention dividing up the state with two schools.

Si senor. We flip the ones we want, and lead Mizzou on wild goose chases eating up resources and valuable time on the ones that are overhyped.
