Texas is FAR from SEC Country. I lived in Dallas for the past 3 years and NOBODY gives a frick about SEC, College or Texas A&M Football.

Stop pretending that you Gaggies own the state of Texas - you don't and never will

Yes. Went to fish camp for the experience (Dad's an Ag, so I knew all of the traditions already) and Impact (basically the Christian spin on fish camp. Then Freshman Orientation Week for the Corps of Cadets. That was a whirlwind summer

The video made it look rather cultish. I'm sure that's not the first time you heard that and I'm not poking fun at it. Do you have to be super pumped all the time at aTm with all the cheers and that kind of stuff, or is there a group of less animated fans that also attend the school or games? I obviously have never been to aTm but would like to.

A&M is very much a cult

Honestly, it's just like most big state schools. We just get crazy around football-related stuff. Or big sports stuff in general. Many of our other traditions range from everyday courtesy (saying howdy as a greeting), to downright somber (silver taps and muster, which honor students who have passed away).

Y'all call your freshmen "fish" and I am sure you have "fish" on your team.

We have a kicker whose last name is Fry and our holder's last name is Fish.

It's foreshadowing, Aggies. Fish Fry at Willy B. tonight.

We are a cult. We freely admit and advertise this fact but people here still act like it's some great revelation they alone just discovered,

Those are called 2%ers.

If you work in Houston or another large city you will run into them. Passionate about their school but find hissing ghey. They exist, you just have to hunt them out.

And I find it surprising ags don't understand why we pay attention to this. Folks do that anytime something ridiculous happens. Think everyone was watching ferguson mo a few weeks ago for no reason? No people are drawn to train wrecks and in that avenue the ags are the gift that keep on giving.

You use the term "dudes" more broadly than we do.
