It was PI but I think it occurred on the 2 yard line. Would have been a half the distance penalty.

It would never get called had the receiver not tripped. Oh well, shite happens. I will say that those refs were ridiculously whistle happy. They dealt out 4 personal fouls in the first quarter. Would've rather had Big Ten refs

A make-up call for all the bad calls and no calls in Bammer's favor the past decade.
Tough shite.
Tough shite.

It is a spot foul in college up to 15 yards, so you are the one who is wrong. Secondly, they were at the 16, not 19, so you are wrong again.
So if ball on 16, PI at 2 yd line, spot foul, ball placed on 2. What if the ball were on the 18 and PI on the 2? Half distance to goal? If so, seems like almost identical situations are being treated much differently. Just curious.

This is dead wrong it's. ot NFL. NOt a spot foul it's over 15 yards down field
It was less than 15 yards downfield. It would have been a spot foul.

15 yard penalty which would be half the distance from the 19
If I'm not mistaken, on pass interference, unlike other penalties, if it's more than 15 yards downfield, the 15-yard penalty is enforced in full even if it's more than half the distance to the goal. So, for example, if the LOS is the 19 and the foul occurs at the 3 or further in, then the 15-yard penalty is marked off to the 4. Of course, in this case, it's irrelevant because the LOS was less than 15 yards from the 2, so it would have been a spot foul.

Titanic helmsman, "I was following the captain's orders for heading, speed and lookout for icebergs, but I knew we carried too much speed to watch for icebergs, but there weren't supposed to be any...just a few reports".
Admiralty, "Well, then if there weren't supposed to be any icebergs we certainly can't hold you responsible"
