There is no difference in the back 4, so we're talking about 7 position that have to fit the system.
OLB -- Justin Houston, Cornelius Washington, and Darryl Gamble fit perfectly in this scheme at this position. After that there is no proven depth. Freshmen and a walk ons.
DE -- Damarcus Dobbs and Abry Jones will probably start. Dobbs is proven and fits. Jones has the right body, but it is not proven. Plenty of bodies w/ experience for depth here, but no real game changers.
-------------------------------------
This is where things get interesting:
ILB -- Lots of talent here, maybe the most of anywhere on the D, but I don't know that they'll fit the scheme that well. Marcus Dowtin, Christian Robinson, and Akeem Dent are all proven, but maybe a little small for this position.
NT -- Clearly, this is the most difficult spot to fill. We've got DeAngelo Tyson (6'2 294), Kwame Geathers (6'6 324), and Justin Anderson (6'3 330) all vying for the spot, but none are proven.
----------------------------------------
My 2 doubts about the D:
1. Up the middle we will be weak. Not due to lack of talent, but due to lack of size. Teams w/ a downhill running attack (I Formation, for example) will hurt us. But who runs the ball like this in the conference anymore? Luckily, our 4 toughest conference opponents next year do not have this running style (Florida, Ark, Aub, and SC).
2. Our depth behind the starters in the front 7.

The first year is the worst, when switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4. Alabama struggled mightily at times in 2007. Georgia will be a little better off, as Kines had recruited for speed over size under Mike Shula. Georgia has some good size to fit the defensive line spots.

I think we'll definitely improve on D (ppg and total D)...but I don't think it's going to be a large improvement. The bigger deal is that I think it's certain we'll create more turnovers. We only recovered 2 fumbles the entire year last year. Only had 10 ints.

Yeah, and the analysts screw up all the time.
He will be a bust if he goes top ten.
I can see him going late first, early second.
But jesus, not top ten.

Julio will double his TDs this year! It is the prophecy foretold on my Bryant-Denny souvenir cup!

You'll see, he'll catch 8 this year, giving him 16! They were right when they called him a Moss-Fitzgerald hybrid! ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

It's more like a Smoot-T.O hybrid.

When I tried to make Julio on NCAA '08, the game snapped in half. That's how good he is...
Posted on 5/20/10 at 10:28 pm to MagillaGuerilla
Or that's how bad he is..
The universe would explode if you were able to rate him good on NCAA.

Any Auburn players projected to go in the first round?
Posted on 5/20/10 at 10:40 pm to crimsonsaint
Maybe Lee Ziemba.
We got a lot coming out this year so we'll see.
Should be a bunch of total draft picks though.

Based on his false start, and holding potential, I'd say yes.
