Bo Wallace deserves the two spot due to the amount of games he's played in. That being said, I still think Dak is better.

Quality > quantity on Steele's preseason list IMO. You don't have a player on the 1st or 2nd team. Each of the last 3 years you've had at least a combined two players from the top two defensive teams. 3rd and 4th teams seem like a total crapshoot.

I should preface this post by saying having 3rd and 4th teams for preseason predictions is a little ridiculous. But...
Somebody has to be on the 3rd team if he's going to have one. I would have put Dak there, but, even then, JD would be on the 4th team.
Besides Dak, Bro, Marshall, and JD, are there any other QBs in the league returning that have started for a whole year or, in JD's case, multiple years?
Maybe the kid from Arky who is terrible? I'm guessing UK probably has somebody returning too, but you wouldn't pick him.

Actually, (and I don't know anything about Kentucky's depth chart) I am guessing that barker comes in and starts as a freshman for Kentucky. If he does, he COULD have a better year than a couple on the list.

It won't be as good as last year, but I am willing to bet when the dust settles we will have several QBs having pretty decent years. The A&M QB, Mason of UGA, Barker of Kentucky....wouldn't surprise me if Driskell comes through and finally lives up to his hype. Mauk and Coker could have pretty decent years as well.
Don't get me wrong....the SEC won't be called the QB Conference. But it won't be as bad as many think.

From all accounts Barker could redshirt this year because Towles (who was a 4* coming in) has really come around in recent months. Towles could be a solid player and he has some young talent around him.
Either way, Bud Dupree not on 1st team and ZaDarius Smith on 4th team on the defensive end is laughable at best. But Steele usually doesn't have much love for UK guys even if they're deserving so it's pretty par for the course.
