I like Steele a lot and don't think this is a bad prediction. The D will be nasty, absolutely no denying that. Driskel is experienced and will presumably be a better decision maker. The only drawbacks I see are a lack of explosiveness at the offensive skill positions, an average OL (they're experienced, though), installing a new offensive system, and a brutal schedule.

Wouldn't bother me one bit if we beat them, they ended up 10-3 (bowl win), and kept Muschamp in 2015 while simultaneously breaking in a new QB.

This prediction will hold true until the Gators run up against someone who is just out of their league.

Like someone in the FCS, I mean.

I see double-digit bong rips in Phil's recent past.

I'd say they win at least 9. Wouldn't surprise me if they won 10 or 11.

Injuries destroyed them last year.

There are 6 toss ups on schedule, and only two are away. I say they lose the two away toss ups, and lose at least one or two between LSU, UGA, USCe, Mizzu.

9-3 or 8-4 is my prediction.

Best case 10-2. Worst case 7-5

Pretty much echoed what I think

Biggest one is going to be UGA, Muschamp needs to beat them.

I'm guessing 7-5 but they could beat a few teams like USC, LSU, UGA to finish 9-3 or even 10-2 if things really went well. I don't see them beating FSU and beating Alabama in Alabama seems like a long shot just because of home field.

What are the huge differences between 2014 Florida's potential and 2012 Florida?

Let's not act like South Carolina and Georgia have ran away against Florida the past few years. Georgia's only been good for a 1-possession win the past 3 seasons. South Carolina's last 2 wins over Florida were 1 possession victories over teams that finished the season unranked. How would South Carolina fare versus a good Florida team?

LSU, Alabama, and Florida all have big questions on offense and defenses that should keep them in any game. All matches between the 3 teams should be considered tossups.

I'm afraid he already showed that against a FCS team last year.

I guess that means the Tennessee is inferior to an FCS program. A banged up Georgia Southern managed to accomplish what Tennessee hasn't done the past 9 seasons.

You should find another hobby besides dickriding and trolling. I suppose that's all you can do versus your rivals since Tennessee hasn't been able to rival Alabama or Florida recently.

Since he doesn't coach or influence Mizzou in any way, shape or form, I don't give 1 frick what he says or thinks.

BTW, GA Southern says hello

Florida is entering fall camp 100% healthy for the first time in many years. It's night and day compared to last year.

The depth on the OL isn't the greatest, so a lot of injuries there could derail the season again, but the first 7 guys are solid, and the starting 5 are probably the best UF has had since 2009.

The skill positions are the most talented that Florida has had since 2009, and for the first time in years, the QB and the OC seem to line up from a skill-set/philosophy standpoint. That hasn't been the case since 2009 either.

The defense is solid at every position, and although people will site games from the 2nd half of last season to show that they are overrated, that team was just decimated by injuries and will rebound in a big way in 2014. I don't think anyone is seriously questioning whether the defense will be good.

The only question is can they stay healthy, and is Roper a legit OC.

Despite the hate and the BS on this site, everyone that watches football is holding their breath on Florida. If Florida finds an offense, they will be one of the most dangerous teams in the country and everyone knows it.

I tend to agree with him honestly. I'll say 9-3 with a 10th win in the bowl, but I could see 10-2 or even 11-1.

That's reaching but still, I think UF is going to be dramatically improved for the very obvious reasons Steele stated.

I think of all the games on SCAR's schedule this coming season, the trip to Florida concerns me the most and I typically have a solid grasp on the games to be most worried about.

Not only that, but I think there are so many beat writers and prognosticators writing that the SCAR at UF game is going huge with regard to the East, that it's sort of become the defacto game to look forward to in the East race ... but they're all important. UGA, @ Auburn, etc.

I've been saying this for months now. UF will be good next year. Just have a gut feeling.
