Not even. I've seen many posts over the years about fans mot liking their teams ranked too high due to elevated expectations.

I'm just wondering why we are still obsessed with opinion pols in college football now that we have a playoff. Who pays any attention to the AP pre-season poll for the NFL?

Outside of Florida you can't really be that surprised about that projected top 10. You can squabble over how to order certain teams as usual.
