So, while many of Arkansas fans would like to believe that Bobby Petrino could wave a wand and coach anyone with two legs to wins galore in the Southeastern Conference, let’s also agree that the talent in Arkansas in 2007-08 was fortuitous for a pass-happy coach.

That’s how you go 21-5 over two years while conceding the defensive side.

His main shortcoming is his inability to ride a motorcycle.

it doesn't matter if his team has no D. he's a heck of a coach and finds ways to win games

2003 Louisville 9-4
2004 Louisville 11-1 (a game away from NC game. lost at #3 Miami by 3 points)
2005 Louisville 9-3
2006 Louisville 12-1 (lost to #14 team by 3 points)

2010 Arkansas 10-3
2011 Arkansas 11-2

We will always wonder what could have been with these new defensive coaches in place on the recruiting end..

500 yards of offense against TAMU still shows firepower but only 10 points and Bleeding turnovers gives little to no hope without a defense.

It may not matter if all you want is to win games. If you want to win championships, it matters.

The NFL draft says it wasn't all smoke and mirrors. However, the attrition rate was very bad with average out-of-state recruiting. We are missing Jake, another Arkansas kids pass rushing presence as the article states, on the defensive side also. If we had in-state depth like LSU this wouldn't even be a problem.

A lack of leadership, massive turnovers, injuries and defensive depth is the real problem.
