15. Mizzou ...really?
Two of their 3 weekend starters are back, one of which is a very highly projected 2017 draft pick. Their shortstop played for team USA over the summer and did very well. Might be the top returning SS in the SEC. Return several starting position players. And one of their other pitchers that is a big time prospect had a good summer in the Cape League. I think their recruiting class was pretty good as well.
I don't think this is a bad projection.

I am not saying it is bad. I just wasn't expecting it. If you base it off the way the MU posters talk about it, then I wouldn't be surprised if the team went to LA with the Rams.

I'm an LSU fan and I talk more Mizzou baseball than all but about 3 people on their board.

LSU too high at this point IMO. We certainly have the potential to be there but I wouldn't put us that high just yet.

Kind of like how UK, ND, UNC, and Bama(in their respective sports) get ranked higher than they should in most preseason polls.
Granted not really Bama now, but you will see it again, when Saban leaves.

I'm one of the few that loves Mizzou baseball. I'm not a guru like a couple of posters, but I'll share what I know/think:
Had Mizzou played better in the weekday games last season, they would have made the NCAA's. Problem was, they had no pitching for those games so the little sisters of the poor would actually beat Mizzou.
Now for this season: Mizzou returns their top 2 SP's, Tanner Houck - who many seem to believe has a higher ceiling than Max Scherzer, and Reggie McClain. If any of the younger guys step up, Mizzou should have three solid to really good SP's for the weekend series.
Lineup: lots of young guys who seem to be well regarded, including Shane Benes, who is Andy Benes' son. He had torn his knee up so he was never fully healthy last season. I don't think he ever played in the field. He is a SS by trade. Some of the other young guys who played a bunch last year, Trey Harris, Brett Bond, Jake Ring,Zach Lavy.
Need some help in the pen, but overall, they could be a surprise team in the SEC and one that probably should make the NCAA.
We're planning on going to as many games as possible, so I'll try to post some thoughts/updates.

A&M #3 is a God damn joke

LSU wayyyyy to high. They are replacing 7 or 8 position starters and their other ace pitchers is out for 2nd straight year.
How can a guy who has never pitched a game for LSU or in college period be considered an ace? He might be very good but you have to earn ace status on the mound. Lange wasn't even the ace to start the year last year.
LSU will be replacing a lot of hitters but the pitching is experienced and deep. College baseball in the last few years has proved a dominant pitching staff can carry you a long way.

I actually agree with this.

LSU returns everyone from the rotation last year. So, you dumb.

Care to back up your reasoning?
I could understand if its one, but all 3 of the polls released have A&M top 5.

Bama fan in a College Baseball discussion. And taking about LSU.

I'll make this simple for you:
Nick Banks, & Tyler Stubblefield return. Add in a tone of experience from role players.
Plus the addition of Boomer White. Pretty easy to see this team as top 5.
Do you even baseball?
