I don't think McCarron was on the team in 2009.

ETA: I see where the confusion can come in, OP didn't state WHO had the experience or whatnot.

Sorry for not being clear at first. Knowing you, I figured you were setting me up pretty good for a LSU troll.

He was (unofficially) the second string QB in 2009 even though he redshirted all season.

I just went and looked at our 09 class and he was indeed on the team. I stand corrected.

Notre Dame will win because the refs will call holding penalties on the tide.

How many holding calls were called on Alabama in last year's BCS National Championship Game? I'll give you a hint, only one penalty was called on Alabama all game long.

Redshirt Freshman. Has 09' rings to prove it. Of course didn't play.

Anyone who thinks that Alabama isn't going to slaughter them is completely delusional.

Herbstreit went against the grain and predicted Texas A&M would hand Alabama their first loss - he was correct!

I would say he knows what he is talking about here as well.

Did Herbstreit say started and won 2 SEC Championship games, or did he say has been in 2 SEC championships games and the Natty last year? I thought he said has been in (as in 2009), but he may have said started and won.

Bama will win because they are better. There is nothing else you need to know.

I guess last years NC game seemed like the SEC championship to him too. I know it did to me.

After the LSU-Bama NC game I kept feeling like the season was incomplete. There should have been a game against some overmatched out of conference "power" after it. And there wasn't. So I can kinda see making that mistake.
