They are asking LSU to lose a home game affecting revenue because of a natural disaster hitting them. Then, who would pay South Alabama to get out of their contract? Would Florida reimburse LSU for having to not play South Alabama because they wouldn't budge also?

They may not. But they will have a full week to get power back on, debris cleaned off of roads, basic hurricane clean up though...not just 48 hours.

The SEC. The SEC would also pay off Presbyterian. They have funds for this situation.

I'm only aware of Ladd Stadium and that sits around 40,000 people.

It's his word against Foley's. Obviously both men are bitter. I wouldn't believe anything either of them say because they are both trying to save face from this debacle.

The SEC insurance policy has been mentioned in a dozen other threads.

Why does Joe need to save face? He just said LSU is STILL willing to travel to Gainesville and play Monday. Foley said no because of security
But I thought it was only 10% chance of rain

He even said they talked about playing in an empty stadium to ease pressure on first responders

You apparently don't understand how mother nature works.

so does Florida. Playing LSU means more to UF though.
Nah, it's about money. If LSU would've countered saying the game had to be played in BR so we don't lose revenue, UF would've declined.
