It's amazing how the past 2 weeks have completely unhinged both Arky and U fans, both of whom are historically insignificant when it comes to heated opponents.

Alabama had assistant get ejected and 2 players ejected , and had an accomplice to murder on the court.
They also got every fricking foul call, and the dumbest coach in the nation with his stupid jacket.

How do you get every call when you have your starting center and another role player ejected from a scuffle the other team's point guard started??

On Broome's 5th "foul" the bama guy went through him, hooked his arm, threw him to the ground, threw the ball off his head and then stood over and taunted him. End result was bama shooting 2 free throws and Broome out of the game with nearly 8 minutes left. Had the proper calls been made (foul on bama and a technical) AU would have been shooting two technicals and a 1 and 1. At minimum it was a 4 point swing and possibly 6 along with costing AU it's only post scoring threat in a game that wound up tied at the end of regulation. Complete garbage and the refs took over 10 minutes at the monitor to review and still went with.

SEC officiating is often horrible, but it wasn’t biased last night.
Bama realized halfway through the 2nd half the 3pt shots weren’t going to fall so they were driving to contact every play and AU was playing very physical because they couldn’t stay in front of Quinnerly or Miller.
AU wasn’t driving as consistently so the foul discrepancy became noticeable, but I would point out both teams were in the double bonus in the 2nd half so it’s not like you weren’t getting calls.
AU doesn’t have the depth to deal with players fouling out with an injury on top late or else you would probably be a 4-5 seed this year with two wins over Bama and one over UT.

The other issue with some of the 50/50 calls is that when you are playing as consistently physical as AU was, it impacts the refs perception of who instigated what.
Let’s face it, Pearl and everyone else knows that AU has no chance in an open court running game with Bama and that Bama tends to shoot poorly in physical games so his guys were grabbing and bodying from the opening tip. And it worked, Bama was horrible from the field.
But you can’t play bully ball on the road and then complain when calls don’t go your way. A tightly called game and AU has their entire starting lineup fouled out midway through the 2nd.
It’s like the kid in class who always gets in fights, if the teacher has to guess who is at fault they are getting sent to the principals office.

If anyone wants to see terrible officiating, watch the Bama at UT b-ball game. UT grabbed and held the entire game. They are what their record is. I hope Bama gets them in the SEC tourney.
