Dude,that is CLASSIC Finebaum. He knows that all you have to do is make a negative comment about Alabama then open up the phone lines. The rest is pure golden profit.

ESPN seemed to be suddenly aware of this last night, only after bama lost, with the same hacks defending the bama defense for defending that many plays in a game after those same hacks spent the entire season criticizing BIG XII defenses. It's hilarious to watch their mental gymnastics!

No this is not true.
No one in the Big12 is routinely facing 90+ plays per game. Only two schools even begin to approach that.
OU and OkSt are both around 75. Bama is around 73.
If the plays in that game were limited to the maximum average seen in the Big12, Bama would have won the game.
Defense in the Big12 is quite horrible. Still.
