SIAP but thought it was interesting to see Finebaum talking about Mizzou's treatment by the NCAA. I wonder if he will be as nice to Miss. State on this subject.

Finebaum sounds off

Missouri’s tutor was employed by the school. State’s was not. this has been answered to at least 5 times already

“This is the most outrageous penalty I’ve ever seen. There’s no justification for it. The longer I’ve thought about this, the more sickened I am by it.”

Wow I thought he said initially that he agreed with the sanctions? Did I dream that?

The Tutor was employed by the University.

"When the university learned of possible serious instances of academic misconduct involving student athletes and a student tutor employed part-time by MSU Athletic Academics, we were compelled to remove the student tutor from university employment, fully and independently investigate the matter, and then self-report the misconduct to the NCAA Committee on Infractions," MSU President Mark Keenum said.

Probably before Saban gave him his talking points on the subject.

She was employed by the school at the time. after it was uncovered she was fired immediately unlike a certain big12 school

I do not see much of a difference. It would be different if she continued the violations after it was uncovered, but the fact that she was terminated shouldn't affect anything. More of a CYA cover-up when that happens.

I have a huge problem with a system where 1 individual with no instructions or even hints that they should do something incorrect is used to punish people who have zero to do with the situation.

1. Tutor Bitch cheats for kids, was not asked to do so but did on her account on her own

2. She attempts to extort school or she will go public

3. School then immediately self reports and fires her

4. School works with the NCAA to find wrong doings

5. NCAA throws the book at the school

If you think this scenario is fair you are full of shite

From Reddit:

Mizzou did not self report, hell they didnt even know about it till the tutor self reported

Mizzou tutor did it across multiple sports across multiple areas at multiple schools. Homework, exams, placement tests

Mizzou tutor even turned the work in for the athletes. Not an eyebrow was raised.

Mizzou was coming off sanctions against their basketball team where multiple boosters were paying players for no show jobs.

MSU found out about the tutor doing work because he tried turning in work for the players. MSU self reported

MSU tutor happened during one semester.

MSU did not have another team get busted recently

If there is one thing that Finebaum re-affirms here time and time again, that simply cannot be spoken to enough, is that he has some monstrously huge ears......

Missouri didn't have to sit any players, State didn't get a bowl ban. Other than that, the punishment is almost exactly the same.
