I don't think he hires assistants he wants, but I absolutely think he has a group of people and Auburn has different camps of influence. Wayne Flint wrote about all of the different power struggles, and I've no reason to think they don't still exist. I've always thought it was interesting that so much Birmingham Auburn money goes to individual schools and development, but that they keep themselves separated from the Athletic Department, save season tickets or whatever.

Still will continue to say Scarbo is the best journalist in the state and a hell of a lot better than Finebaum. To compare Finebaum in a favorable light to Scarbo is a joke.
